I loved this mission, Brute is such a unique character in this world. He has no anger in his voice, it’s hard for you to feel anger towards him as well. The line « Id offer you flowers… if I could find them » hits hard with the setting of this fight and the game overall

I really get a feeling of Bondrewd (Made in abyss) from Brute's line delivery.

AC6 is one of the first games I see that the script don't differ much from japanese to english and the only difference is the "feel" given by each VA acting wich I think it's very impressive. EN VAs give me a serious "military" tune while JP VAs give me mech anime vibes

It's the other way around for me. The Japanese feel far more military especially with that harsh radio static in their comms. All the female liberation soldiers actually sound like tomboys and adults and not the anime children voice they have in English for instance. Compare Little Ziyi in English versus Japanese.

      That's reallly cool trivia :)
I also feel like they probably didnt have any Japanese dialogue in the EN version just because Japanese isn't as common as English; it's of course an iconic language because of Anime, but i don't think anyone would actually understand what was being said without subtitles. Whereas in Japan, English is taught in schools. Obviously it isn't perfect, but basically what I'm saying is - English is more common in Japan, compared to Japanese being common in America :)

Brute's JP voice actor is Hiroki Yasumoto, he also plays COM's voice. Therefore, JP players suffer from hallucinations of being constantly talked to by Brutes.😅
The famous characters Mr.Yasumoto played are Pod 042 (NieR:Automata) and Agil (Sword Art Online) and so on.

Trivia: Honest Brute shares the same Japanese voice actor with Captain Matias Torres, one of antagonists in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown's DLC mission.
He's the complete opposite of Captain Torres - by the looks of it. Torres is a straight up maniac who yells & laughs wildly all the time. Honest Brute displays the quality of a psychopath who's totally calm & normal by the looks, but deep inside he's even crazier than Captain Torres.

A guy talks to you in Japan like this and you would immediately creep out.
It's okay, those intonations don't necessarily transcribe well to English.
