Hey Alex thank you for this video. Never been to Cebu yet but I have been to Mall of Asia in Manila which is huge. The malls in the Philippines are large.
We were there in 2018. So big, did some bowling, cinema, billiard and eating. The city we live in in Europe has 250,000 people and 2 relatively large malls. I don't really go there often
I’m a black American. I been to that mall a year ago. It’s huge. I was impressed with all the activities in the mall. USA malls just want you to buy and go. That mall is an all day experience 👍🏾 lines are pretty long though 🤷🏾♂️ You should have gotten the video game contest on the middle of the mall
This is located at SRP, quite far from the metro. If you're living within the city, Ayala, IT Park and Colon are the convenient places to shop. Biggest stadium in the world to be built in SRP too, so I heard, with 150k sitting capacity.
Fun facts, SM seaside is currently the biggest mall in cebu, And CClex the big bridge is the biggest bridge in cebu and leads to mactan island which has lapu-lapu city and cordova. And apparently theres also an SM seaside arena under construction
I saw a skating rink in the mall in Manila back in 2016 as well, but there were only like 1 or 2 people skating at that time. Amazing that this rink was that busy.
@@bighand1530 Trust me. You are not missing anything. The only reason I was spending time there, was because that was where my GF worked. It wasn't for me. I will have to visit Cebu and Dumaguete instead sometime and hopefully that changes my mind.
The Zamboni. My son played ice hockey in Dallas and it was my favorite part of raising him. He skated in the SM Seaside Mall rink and he said the ice was terrible as is normal for most mall rinks. He also said they apparently play ice hockey there as he saw marks from hockey pucks along the sides of the rink.
@@lionhearted1969 Thank you for that information. I knew they play ice hockey in Manila. In US and Canada we have dedicated ice rinks which allows for better ice and the skating experience is better. We also have mall rinks but it is harder to maintain the ice with the warmer air coming from the mall tends to melt the ice.
sm seaside, sm aura and a few sm malls were designed by an american architectural firm you'll noticed the high ceiling (that's equivalent to 2-storey building per floor) most malls have low ceiling i still find sm seaside a "maze," because it's circular -- it has no beginning, no ending -- it's infinite (especially if you're new to the mall)
@@lionhearted1969 thanks for the info 🙂 on my 1st time navigating the "labyrinth" style of sm seaside a few years ago -- the lack of bold color scheme, or probably a standout structural design to help guide shoppers or mall rats with "excellent" marker or demarcator in the coordinate system -- the uniformity of color & design per floor makes the mall an infinite, heady spiral slope to nowhere ... i lost my way out ... 😁
I just subscribed and watched this video, so impressive. I luv videos around 15 minutes long and yours was interesting. I'll keep an eye out for future ones, nice job!
Philippines mall are awesome most of all of our malls here in America are shutting down I'm right next to the largest abandoned mall in America 1.6 million square foot sitting abandoned decaying falling apart it's been a lot of people that's done UA-cam videos about the Century 3 mall but recently it's gotten so bad they started going after people in arresting them for trespassing and everything and now you can't really make a UA-cam video there no more of the abandoned Mall
Nice thanks for this video. I've never been to cebu and I love malls more than anything else and always been stuck in metro manila only. This video helps a lot. Thanks Alex
Alex, this looks like the NEW SM Mall built in the southern end of Cebu City, right? When I was there in previous years there is an SM Mall in Cebu. This doesn't look anything like it. I LOVE the rooftop!! What I would not like so much is the humidity 😅.
Alex, should try the avocado stand inside it's so good! The sky park is great scenic area over looking the mountains. It was quite hot when I was there back in April of this year. Looking to come back in Dec. Jan time. Hopefully you still be around might catch you somewhere in Cebu. I was in the fuente circle area so, me and my gf traveled all over Cebu City. Keep up the good work 👍, take care!
This mall and other malls in Phil seem like a nice escape from the heat 🥵. I’d take a. pass on the rooftop activity area unless it was a nice cool day like in Iloilo 🥶
Very nice Mall Alex I've been to SM seaside before I might go back there again a few times this year 🆒👍😎 Chess is a lot of fun Alex but a lot of thinking to I used to have those Air Nike shoes back in the day Zamboni machine for the ice
