Matthew 14:13-21
13 When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.
14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.
17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
18 He said, Bring them hither to me.
19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

This story was truly amazing. He was able to take two fishes, 5 loaves of bread and fed 5000 people. He blessed the bread, only taking what was offered and made an impact. It overjoyed my heart to see that❤️🕊

Ever since I was a baby I would have horrible panic attacks and would crawl into my mama's bed she would play me one of these videos and tell me she loved me as my dad would rub my head and just like that I would be asleep safe and sound happy as a claim because I new I was loved and protected.

I love the way in the end the Savior looks at Peter and Peter to Him like they feel the joy of the work. When I feel the Spirit after doing whatsoever the Lord commanded I feel a similar joy as if The Savior was walking beside me letting me know Heavenly Father is pleased.

The lord has divine energy. He can radiate the divine energy to the needy. He can fulfill their requirements with his infinite love and compassion. I believe Jesus and with his blessings he can cleanse my digestive organs and my family's health. Wow, highly symbolic. Notice how those 5,000 who followed Christ were fed and hungered and thirsted no more after his gift of food. Similarly, if we follow Christ individually and collectively, we will neither hunger nor thirst spiritually and we will be given blessings and will feel "full".

Nice interpretation of How Christ is the bread of life and living water. But certainly those people had to be fed again (as evidenced when he later fed the 4,000).

I was expecting a nice special effect for the actual multiplying of the bread and fish part, and when I saw the cutaway I kinda felt disappointed. But then I realized the actual multiplying, or how it came about, is really not what's important. The miracle is the feeding of the five thousand, and how it came about is a minor part of it. So I actually liked the simplicity of the effect because it didn't take away from the focus of the miracle.
Thiago, I was a little disappointed too in that scene, especially when Christ first says: divide the people into groups of 50... I thought we were going to see some effort made on the part of the disciples to somehow "work it out - make it happen". A couple of years ago for Easter this movie, I think it was called - The life Of Jesus.. (something like that) played on national TV. In their interpretation the disciples held up large baskets with a small portion of the 5 loves and maybe a piece of fish. They held the baskets up high as they prayed and when the baskets were lowered they were loaded with food!
You and I know that this is not how it works. Since when does God just hand things to us on a silver platter? We have many great examples from the Book of Mormon - Lehi's family and the struggles they endured to reach the promised land, the brother of Jared and his and his peoples struggles to cross the sea. We know nothing is just handed to us. Effort is required, sometimes great effort and creativity and sacrifice. We are to exercise all of our mental and physical energy in creating our own miracles, and then after we do our part.. you know - "faith preceeds the miracle"...

In Mark apparently they sat in groups of 50 and 100. I have to read it again. wikipedia says "Jesus said they did not need to go away, and therefore the disciples were to give them something to eat. They said they only had five loaves of bread and two fish, which Jesus asked be brought to him. Jesus directed the people to sit down in groups on the grass. In Mark's Gospel the crowds sat in groups of 50 and 100,[2] and in Luke's Gospel, Jesus' instructions were to seat the crowd in groups of 50,[3] implying that there were 100 such groups."

They did not show how the bread was divide because they don't know how he did it and the set in groups because God told him to divide the people it had no meaning it was just to show his loyalty to do as he was told

Life may not have been quite fair to them. They struggle to have enough to hold body and soul together. But they are not forgotten.
