- Automating audio or video to your sequence is one of the many great tools at your disposal when you begin an edit in Premiere. Edit to the beat, easily create timelapses and slideshows or fix audio pops all in one easy action. Here’s how to automate to sequences in Adobe Premiere Pro.
In this video we review:
1. Editing To The Beat/Covering Edit Points

nice video, thank for your guide.
Hey I use this feature a lot and sometimes have a really weird problem. Some clips are empty until I drag them really far to the left side, as if to the point of beginning. It can literally be an hour's worth of a clip, until I get to a point where I can see something in it. How can I fix this ?
This is dope .
What if I already dragged the clips I've set my in/out points to the timeline? Is there a way to automate from there? And what if I have multiple clips from a full clip?
Been trying to figure out a way to do that. Did you figure it out?
@@johndreiling did you find it??
I think you have to take those lil clips from in/out and use the encoder to do them all =\
Yeah i think you have to select all the clips, render and replace the clips to a seperate folder on your drive, then drag the folder of clips back into the project, that should create their own bin, then they will be all in the same place for you to continue this tutorial, i think, trying it out now.
This is great! Should same some time when in hurry!!
is there something like the actions tab on photoshop where u can record an action and then play it back
For clips that are one long continuous shot, is there any way to automate to markers when you have multiple in and out points on same clip? Can you make a subclip for video?
I think you'll have to subclip those
Macro - I needed to put a marker every 00:00:00:17639 for 2:40 so I created a macro that looks like + 1 7 6 3 9 m Now every time I hit the macro key, cursor moves 17639 and a new marker is added. Easy.
I have imported .srt file, it will have default markers with respect to time, how can I add motion graphics on each marker. My motto is i want to create lyrical video from .srt file
Why when I go to place the clips, the selection that says "[place] at unnumbered markers" is greyed out? Am I not selecting anything right? I have the markers on the screen, and the clips selected, but it won't let me place at the markers
That should save me some time. Cheers!
does this work with my clips already in the timeline?
You should put your video speed to 1.25x
Thanks Nice One
Hi! Do these tips apply in premier pro?
Can mark in and out can be copied and pasted?
1:33 / 5:37 : it would like THAT to be automated !
Now the only feature left is "how to automatically generate the markers from the main audio timeline, instead of manually set them by hand"
BeatEdit for Premiere Pro :-)
Thanks for the nice explanation ,, but here is a question .. Is it necessary to equal the number of mark with the number of videos?
Would have been nice if you would have shown the finished sequence to show what happens when one follows all the steps correctly.
Timestamps plz
Or, edit to the beat by hitting markers every time you hear a beat. Lock your audio track, then go back and ripple delete the unwanted video bits, fast and easy.
Is There Any Premiere Experienced User that could help me out if a problem that I couldn't find the solution anywhere?
It doesn't seem to be a bug, but is definitely a super weird behavior.
The problem is Shown in this very short 3 min video:
