2:14 to 2:26 - The big difference between Postman Pat The Movie and those other examples of movies based on TV cartoons is that the other examples were made by the creators of the shows they're based on whereas PPTM was made by an entirely different crew that were never involved in the show. Another UA-camr I like says that a film based on a show is more likely to be both faithful and enjoyable if it's made by the show's creators rather than someone else
I remember the Postman Pat cartoon and it was one of my favorite (and underrated) cartoon when i was a kid. and i watching this movie in 2014 and I HATE IT SO MUCH. so i agree with jambareeqi 100%
The moment I saw the title of what you were reviewing, I was immediately hit with memories of watching some of the series when I was five. And now that those memories have been found, they have been crapped on by the director of Hoodwinked Two...
I never seen the original show, but from the trailer, I KNEW this was going to be a really bad film. Like, this is what The Peanuts Movie would have been like if the Shultz and Steve Martino weren't in charge of the project.
Josh's agent wants to KILL Pat?????? That's something you wouldn't want to see in Postman Pat. Imagine a Peppa Pig movie where the family get set to an abbitor.
I personally really hate the "lie to spouse about money troubles" plot. If we're supposed to buy that these two are really devoted to one another, then don't have them lie and hide things from each other! But this movie just threw in, like, four different plots points that do not go together. Also, is it bad that I found Jess-bot's design more appealing than the actual Jess?
General Horse At least Rio 2's sideplots, despite how all over the place they were, at least you could actually get engaged or at the very least entertained by and at least had a total of I think 5 side plots. Postman Pat The Movie on the other hand has over 9 sideplots and none of them are intresting nor fun.
I actually watched this film when it was on TV a while ago. I, as most millennials, grew up with Postman Pat. I also got the early noughties reboot which stayed pretty faithful to the original show from the 80s. When I was little, I used to really like quaint animated programmes like the 1985 Fireman Sam VHS we had in school, Kipper the Dog, Noddy (I had a VHS of the 1992 one), Angelina Ballerina (pre-reboot) and, yes, Postman Pat. I mean, I was already in my mid-teens when this film came out so clearly, it wasn't for me, but this is just not a Postman Pat film. Postman Pat's teeth look really creepy in this film as well.
Does not knowing about anything or being guilt tripped make me a idiot? It's this mindset I have for a long while now 😒 Also cool video. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Shameful! I think I'll request Mr. Enter to do a future Animated Atrocity on this movie. We get plenty of American cynics thinking they can do this, but it's especially shameful when it's a UK product that has to share the shelf with the purity of Aardman.
Jambareeqi can you review this obscure French/South Korean film called the rain children it's a Romeo and Juliet storyline nothing original but it's worth seeing for the beautiful animation and visuals I remember seeing it as a kid when i was at my grandparents for Christmas (though it REALLY hard to find online😓) but I think you can find the DVD somewhere 😉
+Jambareeqi ok then 😉😉😉 I remember that when I was 11 on Christmas Day I was bored and one of my gifts was this movie my grandparents ask me to watch this movie while I was waiting for my mom my the time the movie was done my mom came to pick me up I asked her if I can take the movie home and she said of course even though she has never heard of it. So I was obsessed with the movie and I had it until I was off to college so I was wondering if you can review the movie cuz I only remember a few parts of it. 😉 thank you for considering it.
There are currently two ways to make a film review request on my channel: One is through the poll for May's episode of "Jambareeqi Reviews": fans.vote/v/ACoGsjo9MOU And another is through my Patreon page, which gives $10+ Patrons the chance to make me review ANY film at all: www.patreon.com/Jambareeqi
+Demon Rantz It's good that a movement like this has been started but I'm shaky about Doug Walker's sincerity behind the campaign, he only started officially addressing it once it started effecting him personally and Channel Awesome has had plenty of criticism towards their own business practices. I hope it leads to some progressive change but don't expect me to praise Walker as some hero.
+Demon Rantz I wouldn't say corrupt is the right word, they're just a tad biased and inept when it comes to the copyright system. They've got to keep their shareholders happy, which I understand but a little fairness towards creators is at least warranted.
***** Absolutely ridiculous. I honestly wish there was another site that everyone could move to, that would be the only way UA-cam would change its policies. #wtfu
+tsartomato One of the my videos received a severe copyright strike, which resulted in 15 min video limit. Luckily, I got the strike removed soon after.

When you mentioned robots I almost spat out my tea I was laughing so hard.
@DanielDeviant No, I mean because the concept of robots in Postman Pat is just so bizarre. It's hilarious.
In the movie trailer postman pat said muffins like in hoodwinked too.

Oh wait, Robot Chicken already did that.
Baz The Storyteller or peppa pig goes to the slaughter house
@@misscaution704 Well if I'm honest, that would improve Peppa Pig 😂
@@misscaution704 LOL XD
Or a smurfs movie themed after mad max
The only good thing about this movie is that David Tennant is in it
Because I'm a fan of Doctor Who
logbro YES!!
6:59 Walk like they’ve just 💩 their pants.
Yeah that made me laugh to
This is why I’m glad I saw The Shaun The Sheep movie in theaters.
You finally did my film request! Thanx, pal! 😉
I like the format changes. The screen graphics are a welcome addition to your reviews.
I laughed a lot at your review! PS: Is that the dalek? 4:43
Yes
David Tennant (Doctor Who) Was In This Film

I agree jambereeqi
6:58 I just realised so do Minecraft people
3:22 and everyone in 2014 harked on Rio 2 for too many subplots

This review is way better than the actual movie
7:03 What's utterly weird is that The Terminator is actually referenced in the movie
I remember that show

Which Postman Pat are you referring to? The real one or the robot one? Because the latter makes more sense in terms of creepiness.
2 minutes in and I'm already confused, is this really a Postman Pat movie?
+fritz fliza It's an X Factor movie posing as a Postman Pat movie
+Jambareeqi Oh that explains it O.o
It's more a robot against humanity film.
@@islesofforeignrails7917 the plot would have actually worked for an action movie not a postman pat movie
Ben here.
Do you think the movie should've focused mostly on the technology plot and the singing contest plot should've been completely removed?
I personally think it should have focused on a plot involving Pat being an actual postman.
7:28-7:33 well except the citizens of Bikini Bottom from the new episodes of SpongBob. XD

have you watch Postman Pat the Movie before? but I seen it and I like it a lot and I really love the song and it is the best movie ever.

Jacob Below You can try, my good man, but I doubt it will get through. He's admitted to hating requests. Though maybe if you tried Paetreon.
3:22 Yes! That's a lot!
This movie's biggest failure is the lack of stop motion. That's sacrilegious.
Is he ever cry in the Movie? but I haven't seen it
Oh my God I knew the Postman Pat movie would be bad the moment I heard that they were making one but what were the film makers thinking
Still waiting for part 2.

I don’t remember pat having a wife or son
Yes he did! In series 1, he was solo. But in series 2, and the rest of the show, he's had them.
Ben here.
Have you seen James A Williams' video about the downfall of Postman Pat?
Angela Fisher Nope
The animation makes me feel uncomfortable, the backgrounds are just so empty and lifeless, and the character animation, just feels wrong.
Me too

Jess has more emotion in this than the show.
That's not much. Considering he's a realistic/motiving character, Not a cartoony comic relief.
