Questions 1. Do you match every square box scene with a specific dialogue line? 2. Is each box tagged with the scene it represents? A lot of questions aren't answered here. Not only that, but what about the artistry...AI is around now, should people who can't draw use AI tools or templates in 2024 and forward? How about an update...if not info will be found elsewhere, of course.
Yah I was going to ask something similar. I've always wondered how does an animation studio calculate how much their film will cost and how would myself calculate how much my own film would cost.
If you're doing the animation yourself it would be free obviously (aside from electrical bills, food, cigarettes, or coffee consumptions), but it would take longer to finish. Now if you hire talents, that's where the expenditure comes from. You're paying their "work-hours", their service to you. Different people have different rates, but generally the more talents you hire and the longer they work, the deeper you must dig into your wallet. Hiring talents means shorter production time and generally higher quality output, at the expense of your money.
So I'm in college learning animation and how to use maya. I've been developing an idea for a short animated film. So once I'm proficient in the ways of maya I can just begin production on my film for free? So if I was to spend money on it would I just put it towards music and maybe someone who could rig for me?
Yes, most likely. But you must have great perseverance and endurance if you want to take most of the project yourself, because we're talking 3D animations in your case. That is, assuming you don't care how long it would take to finish the project.
Yah I don't care how long it takes, I understand it's going to really rough especially since it's my first film. I know this is far in the future but once it's completed should I enter it in festivals assuming it's polished
It’s the director’s choice. He/she may tell the AD to do it. He/she may tell the DOP to do it He/she may do it He/she may even avoid a storyboard all together and just improvise on set.

I have a big unanswered question which is, how do you know how much it's going to cost to make an animation? And what makes an animation expensive?

If someone wants to put up a portfolio. Can he/she use any script from the simplyscripts and storyboard it and put it in their portfolio?
I have a question who breaks the script down into storyboards director or first ad or who?
It’s the director’s choice.
He/she may tell the AD to do it.
He/she may tell the DOP to do it
He/she may do it
He/she may even avoid a storyboard all together and just improvise on set.
What did you use to make the drawings?
please clarify my doubt. How to storyboard a continous shots like steadycam shot, dolly shot, jib shot or 360%.
