Those old ST-225/ST-238 drives don't auto park when you shut them off. Make absolutely certain you park that drive before moving it around, or it'll end up with permanent media damage. That's what the park program in the DOS directory is for...
They don't? I thought the later rll based ones did? Well it hasn't moved since I powered it up (not sure about before then) but still I'll play it safe and park the drive before I remove it until I get it mounted in something
