Hello dhindhintalk, Jagjit ji & Chitra ji never got separated. When Chitra ji gave up singing after the tragic death of their son and went into depression, there were rumors that both of of them are on the verge of separation but that was not at all true. In-fact it is said that this rumor was the contribution of some other not so good singers of ghazal who were helpless in-front of the talent of Jagjit ji and were jealous of India's first and the most successful ghazal singing couple.
I m very old fan of jagjit singh ji,i want 2 say lots of about him but i m speechless.i want 2 say 1 thng only jag jeetna mumkin hai lekin,jag ke logo ka dil jitna (everybody)namumkin hai aur ye karishma kiya hai jagjit singh ji ne.thanx
Although I was raised an live in New York City, I have been listening to Jaggit's music for years. What a blessing and gift he shares with the world at large. As one who is observant of the Jewish faith, I find his music deeply transformative and meditative. His tone, lyrics and accompanying instruments usher in feelings of purity and clarity. Thank you.
Listening to the Ghazal Master made you feel that he is just singing for you through you! His ghazals were easy to understand and feel - one could easily get carried away with the emotions generated. @RK10121988 Similar tragedy happened to my one of the best English Singer, Eric Clapton, whose son died after falling from roof. He even sang a very painful song under title, Tears in the heaven....
