Hey everyone thanks for watching I think fans of Cartoons and Zelda are gonna really dig this one fun to play by yourself or co op with a friend or share with your kid. Also my apologies on price I originally read $17.99 as the full price not $19.99 despite this my opinion remains the same but if you wait for a sale I can't blame you.
I've been a fan of yours for years Corn, I've noticed that you don't seem to do as many P.I.T's as you once did....The channel is looking more and more to be transitioning to reviews...Are you planning to phase out P.I.T's in the future if the views for your review stay high?
I don't plan to phase them out ever I still have my goal of doing some sort of video mostly play it throughs for every NA NES game at least. Play it Throughs take a lot of time to produce most of that is usually spent practicing and learning each game which I just have far less time to dedicate to doing now especially since I moved and soon will be getting married. I wish the play it throughs could do better view wise if I was pulling 5k views per play it through I would shift time around to produce more of them however I am lucky when one hits 2k views. I will never stop doing them just have to pay bills and yeah the reviews do better for that even though the play it throughs take much much longer to make.
CornshaqGaming .... Congratulations on your life transition as far as moving, and your upcoming wedding...I for one appreciate all the work you have done over the years....I just got spoiled on the excellent P.I.T. content 😀.... I never would've gotten through Simons Quest with my 9 year old without some of your tips....With all the political crap on You Tube your channel is a nice place to get a reprieve from it!
I was curious about this game since i love games like this and playing god of war at the moment. Also your puns are funny every vid in the beginning haha awesome vid, l9oking forward to the next one
My only real gripes with this game is that you can't actually at least to my knowledge keep actual progression apart from levels. Which is actually quite bad when you realisr that all the very crucial weapons you *NEED* to have to even think about winning are way too damn expensive for how easy it is to lose them. The progression in the game feels so minuscule at the end of a run, it might as well be the same as never actually having progressed at all honestly. It doesn't help that the only items you are allowed to keep apart from the fast travel item, are more or less basically useless. The fun in rogue lites is the sense of progression they give you even if you die because you unlocked more shit that can give you a better start at the start of a run in swords of ditto you're battling two things. Number one, having the bare minimum in teems of items at the start no matter how long you've played, and "progressed" as well as number two, the time given to actually prepare is way too short for this type of game. Especially for how ridiculously unfair the end of the run final boss actually is. I feel like if this game had a skill tree for your Sword with abilities/stats that carry over on to your next run this problem would be fixed. Plus it'd make the sword actually interesting to use because honestly ya it levels up and you hit harder but that's all it is nothing else so who cares? The sword doesn't feel special at all It's too basic in comparison to like literally every other weapon in the game. At least in the Binding Of Isaac you're given a free item at the start that might help you progress further into the game if you've unlocked whatever that item is. Bur in Swords of Ditto you're hardreset no remorse just wake the fuck up you lil gimp, and head down to the grave to pick up your only means of attack until you get something that's actually... Well not complete trash. Have fun trying to do that though because the toys (weapons) cost way too much for how little currency you actually from enemies and breakables. Now I know I'm sounding really negative about this game but I do actually like the game I'm just stating personal annoyances I had while playing the game which I do very much like again it's just problems I found personally.
PigHunter Gaming you CAN pass on Toys/Items but you have to find not only 8 Celestial Tokens but a Shrine of Serendipity. I myself haven't found either yet in 4 runs so...yeah until you unlock that your chances of beating Mormo remain pretty slim.
otakon17 I actually beat mormo without that I kinda just had to grind money until I had enough to just max out my character's gear. It helps I also found one of those Anchors. Pretty much by the end of that run I actually also managed to get all of the tokens for serendipity. Just didn't have enough of the new currency I unlocked to actually buy anything from her.
I have yet to get enough Tokens, find a Shrine even or beat an Anchor dungeon. Maybe I should just try it on "Easy" mode... ugh I feel dirty saying that. It's almost insulting, I've bested the likes of God of War, Dark Souls and other games but this cutesy little Roguelite is proving damn near impossible for me to progress in.
otakon17 I recommend you just grind for money so you can get an actual good weapon to progress. As for the tokens I found them pretty easily just open chests and they have a chance of appearing.
This game looks right up my alley. The original LoZ is probably my all time favorite game and I most recently played through Oceanhorn on both PS4 and Vita.
When you mentioned legend of zelda classic like link to the past with myself seeing the visual style of the game i had to try it. It was on a deal for a good price that i snag it.
I'm so glad this is a good game. I took your word for it and just bought it. I've had my eye on it for awhile and love these kind of games. I should have just got it while the preorder was on sale because I had a feeling it would be great. Excellent review and I think you put out the first one on UA-cam.
Do you find interest in most of the games you play or do you pick of most of these just to feed the channel? Just found your channel a couple of days ago and have already watched probably 70 videos. Love the content, man!
Its a mix sometimes I play a game for review because I know it will do well for my channel but most of the times I seek games I have at least some interest in. Sometimes I get lucky like with this title as it was both a game I really wanted to play and I think it will do pretty well for my channel :) Thank you so much for checking out so many videos I really appreciate it :)
1:42 He states “The action itself is very much like The Legend of Zelda - the classic Legend of Zelda”, not the look. Though, playing through the game, I do agree that the action leans more towards The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past as the hero can pick items up and chop down grass.
Your review is way kinder than mine would be, would be a 6 at most with me. The conflicting ideas that make it all but impossible to progress ruin the immense charm of the art style and music and writing for me. You need to grind levels to enter dungeons, proper ranged "Toys" will take several runs before you can even afford a single one and unless you find a Serendipity Shrine and 8 Celestial Tokens you'll be locked out of passing on Toys and Items to the next sword regardless if you win or lose. And so far every run I've had, the overworld map has been most unkind forcing me through 4 extra areas to just get to the first Toy dungeon with no side dungeons appearing on the way, let alone being able to level up to even enter the next dungeon without running out of time.
otakon 17 If it was impossible no one would have managed to finish the game. I agree that grinding can be slow, but in order to do it less tedious, free exploration really helps. Sure, you can find higher level enemies but they are easily beatable if you learn their patterns and attack with strategy. I get your points, and there's a reason why not many appreciate rogue-like games, but I think the game is succesful in what it tries to do, even if it's not your cup of tea. Even with bad luck the game has afunctional structure that allows progresss vene in the most unlucky runs.
I just got it on sale and finally played it. It crashed on me 4 times in 2 hours. I found it to get tedious fast with no new moves to keep it fresh, it feels very grindy and Link to the Past is my favorite Zelda game but the story and non repetitive game play kept me going. Plus your companion jokes are grade 1 level puns. I give it a 4/10 & enjoying Owlboy more
Is there a way to disable the health bars on the individual trash enemies? That seems like it would get real annoying real fast. I can imagine having a health bar for bosses, but on every normal enemy? C'mon, now.
Thanks for the review, this one looks like a must but for me. Am I right in guessing it had coop play? I think my kids would love playing it with me, how is the difficulty for kids playing it?
If you are familiar with classic Zelda gameplay like link to the past its no more complicated then that and if you are playing along with them to help with puzzles and such I don't see any reason why they wouldn't enjoy it or be able to play it.
This actually looks like a good game, the price seems a little high for this genre of game but I many pick it up if it goes on a sale. Anyway great review!
Marc Tur You have six in-game days. A single in-game day is about twelve minutes so you have a little over an hour to run around the overworld map and find the 4 story dungeons, along with side dungeons to grind your level up to enter the story dungeons. All the story dungeons have a level requirement you need to meet before you can enter them and it can take up to 15 minutes(over a day in-game) killing enemies in the World Map areas to gain a level.
Thank you for the review. To think I almost bought this. I don't know where does fad of games came from. Always dying and starting anew is not fun for me.
Toke Asaurus420 The weird thing is that it has been part of the 'Totally Digital' section of the PS Store before it even released. Most of the games in that section did jave pre-order discounts. This was one of the few without any discount.
Everyone of course is gonna have their opinion from what I have read a lot of the negativity comes from the way the cycles are handled as far as resetting on death which is handled a bit different then I think some were expecting or prefer. I may have been a bit generous with 9 instead of 8 which I was originally gonna go with but the art and charm pushed it to a 9 for me. My suggestion is wait for a steam sale if you are unsure I am sure it won't take to long before this goes on sale.
Yeah, I usually let Negative Steam Reviews determine whether I buy a game or not. If I can stand what's mentioned in the negative, than it's a green light. The time limit didn't seem to matter that much to you or the fact the world leveled at the same time as you did so maybe it's not that much of a deal breaker. Do you have a Patreon? I think missed it in your description.
Playing this game gave me the same feels as A Link to the Past. Maybe it was the rain? I really love this game in so many ways, from the sound effects in the select screens, to the gameplay, to the artwork. Its not really a Zelda clone, but comparisons are fair. The puzzles are really fun and I love the character and creature designs. I have to admit, Breath of the Wild felt like a Skyrim clone with monotonous puzzle solving and irritating combat, with your weapons breaking all the time. Swords of Ditto feels like it breaths more life back into a game like Zelda without being a Zelda game, more than Breath of the Wild could ever do.
Killing it with these reviews! Glad to see you back . I missed my weekly cornshaq vids.

it’s 27.99 in Canada, price differences suck. :/

I’m glad to see that you like the game, this game has been catching my fancy for a while mostly because of the art style. Good review!
I love hand-drawn visuals and pastel colors. I just can't help it.
I was curious about this game since i love games like this and playing god of war at the moment. Also your puns are funny every vid in the beginning haha awesome vid, l9oking forward to the next one
Malik Streeter did u try it

The Anchors appear after you clear a Toy of Legend dungeon, so you can't NOT miss them unless you don't do the Toy dungeon before them.
Glad you're back!
This game looks right up my alley. The original LoZ is probably my all time favorite game and I most recently played through Oceanhorn on both PS4 and Vita.
I'm holding out for a physical copy for my PS4 PRO.
I finally got this today on a sale
When you mentioned legend of zelda classic like link to the past with myself seeing the visual style of the game i had to try it. It was on a deal for a good price that i snag it.

I'm ordering the physical copy of this! Thanks for the video!
I was hoping you would review it as Link to the Past was one of my favorite games and I was curious about this, thanks for the review

Absolutely! Very well done content my man!
This looks more like A Link To The Past.
The original Zelda was 8-Bit.

Its on Steam for 15.99 on sale down from 19.99. Definitely worth a buy.

Okay i absolutely need to get this at some point.
Coop and pretty colors, I’m in!
I got very interested in this game from the first trailer I saw, but for you to give it a 9 makes it amazing :)
I really loved Enter the Gungeon! Is this game that addictive or fun?
You had me at "sword of doody"
Lol
the cartoon vibe reminds me of Fat Princess
I just got it on sale and finally played it. It crashed on me 4 times in 2 hours. I was just about to buy this too on sale at the store for five bucks. Might not now thanks for the insight.
Never mind. I was looking at the other one. Mormos curse. I watched the wrong review. Ugh lol
Looks interesting enough to me so if it's on sale at some point I'll probably buy it. Nice review as always!
Thank you for reviewing this
So there is loot in the game to find: armor, weapons and gold?
_"...rolling too ambitiously."_
lol
Rushed to the Switch eShop to purchase. Cried.
Crow Zero It’s put now though!
Is there a way to disable the health bars on the individual trash enemies? That seems like it would get real annoying real fast. I can imagine having a health bar for bosses, but on every normal enemy? C'mon, now.
Thanks for the review! Think I'll get it!
people hate on this trailer but it pure dumb summer type fun.
First video I've ever watched by you, I really enjoyed it and earned a sub.
Also, I think I would really like this game
Is mormos Curse better than this one?
It's a decent game. Great aesthetics, but gets a bit boring after a few runs.
Tom Wikernas ever played salt sanctuary
Thanks for the review, this one looks like a must but for me. Am I right in guessing it had coop play? I think my kids would love playing it with me, how is the difficulty for kids playing it?

Cornshaq cool thanks, I've played every Zelda until the Wii + the 3ds ones multiple times so I'm a fan :)
This actually looks like a good game, the price seems a little high for this genre of game but I many pick it up if it goes on a sale. Anyway great review!
Picking this one up
Yet another game I picked up due to this review and it's current PSN sale price.
Do you think they will add character creation type options?
I think it would be a cool option it didn't hurt my experience but I did wish you could do more to customize each hero.
CornshaqGaming yea I still enjoyed the game to but I just wish I could make my own haha I love creating characters lol but that’s me
Oh I do to I spend way too much time in character editors lol
CornshaqGaming really haha maybe I can nag the developer for a future update. also great video by the way you got a sub man 🙏
Thank you so much :)
Thank you for this video! :*
On sale today
"Doody" LMAO!! I'm 35 years old and laughed at this shit? WTF is wrong with me?!
how do you connect the other player?
no online. so turn on the controller and press x or start
Looks very good
So if you play in easy difficulty you dont have a time limit?

I pre loaded this but I’m waiting until I finish god of war to start.
Looks cute and artsy
Thank you for the review. To think I almost bought this. I don't know where does fad of games came from. Always dying and starting anew is not fun for me.
yeah this game is great but i dont like the way how you lose all your items etc after you die quite annoying
The thumbnail made me think of one piece at first glance
Great review. Great game.
FYI, you mentioned it's $17.99. It's showing $19.99 on PSN.

It’s a time based game? Uh..., yeah...
Also... I prefer keeping my character..
movement looks mad sluggish
Sword of doody!
Now we need enter the gungeon 2 with this style of graphics.
That would be amazing
Luigi Borza or just add a texture pack feature
This is LOZ af! Like aside from the gameplay and format.... being reborn a century late to defeat Ganon *cough* I mean the evil force
My dad made this
Loved the look of this. Then I heard "procedurally generated" and was immediately turned off.
Hard pass.
th..
Reminds me of Ittle Dew
that’s what i thought looking at it
