you're easily the top arabic teacher because you take the trouble to explain the cultural aspect giving the right perspective to the arabic language
shukran!!

Couldn't agree more. Although I am an Arab who speaks Arabic I am still learning so much from Maha. For example with this video I have never made the connection between the numbers and the days, God i feel so stupid now😂. In my defense (joke) I am born and raised in Europe, so never really got schooled in Arabic. But Maha is without a doubt the best teacher ever.
I Completely agree. While taking Arabic online, I refer to each of your videos on the same topic as I come to it in class. Your videos help clarify things further!
Shukran jazilan
Omg ur daughter is adorable mashAllah
صحيح ❤
I love that you are including Palestinian dialect in your lessons!
...BTW Your Daughter is adorable. 😃😇
I don't know if this is right but isn't it spelled Mah shalla I am really not sure😅❤

السلام عليكم I wish I new your lecture long time ago any way have learnt alot and I learn evry day thanks
It's Mother's Day in the States, so I hope you had a great one. You have brought so much happiness to your viewers. Thank you.
i love the way the baby comes and interrupts the session.. it feels like some added flavor to your lesson.. Put an extra smile on my face..
Adorable daughter and mom❤️🌺
Big thanks,especially for lucky cooperating between your job and family life. You are awesome woman!
she is very good teacher,
❤
Masha Allah 👌💚👏👏👏👏👏👏♥️
love this! your daughter is such an angel mashallah ❤️😘
Its good that you dont cut out the scenes with your daughter. Its seems so naturally 😍
can't take my eyes off of your daughter, you are so lucky to have such an angel ...Love from India
I don't know why, but I seem to catch on quicker when watching your lessons than when I watch others. I think maybe it's because you give the ideas behind some of the words, and in a somewhat casual, free-flowing, conversational style. It seems to engage my attention more and I learn quicker
I do think that people with other learning styles might find the extra info and interruptions distracting... But maybe not, its just a passing thought😊! I know that for me, maybe because I relate to the necessity of interrupting what I'm doing to be a mommy.... It's like, now when my kids interrupt my lessons, I dont get as frusterated by it, I take it in stride, and that seems to help motivate me to keep on watching!
Anyway, I just wanted to comment to say thank you for these videos, because I'm finally making some progress, while I was really struggling before!!
thank you!
I have to agree. I do a Pimsler course, and mess around watching other instructors, but I always circle back to Maha. I really need to go to her course and immerse!
🕌
I totally agree, she had always taught in a manner that is so friendly and easy to catch. She really understands how difficult it can be to learn such a beautiful language like Arabic is but still able to make every single lesson simple and very enjoyable! I'm following her videos since the very beginning and I'll always follow her lessons! Thanks Maha! And yes your daughter is adorable!!! 😊😂😄
I just love the way she explains and shows how much passion she has in teaching. When I see her past videos she's is grown to be a pro. Excellent fabulous 👌 awesome and what not. She's too good at her job. Iam learning Arabic and her teaching is making it easy for me to comprehend. Masha allah. And also she seems to be a wonderful mom and hopefully a wonderful and beautiful wife too. It's definitely not easy to manage work home and kids but looks like she's doing an excellent job!

You made me laugh when you said 'the anger of an Arabic parent' 😂😂😂😂
Arabic is THE most beautiful , poetic and expressive language in the world. Even more than that, Arabic calligraphy is one of the most exquisite art forms ever to have been developed by humanity.
I know to speak Arabic .... but still this page catch my eyes bcoz of her teaching is better ... FANTASTIC
You really have a golden personality
You're an amazing teacher! In addition to your explanations, I also love that you show differences and similarities between dialects and standard Arabic.

The جمعہ explanation was a eureka moment; I could instantly think of a dozen similar/connected words in the 'urdu' language. Thank you.
Can you share which one are similar? I’m an Urdu speaker (from childhood atleast forgotten some!) so would love to connect the dots too
@@mb9099 firstly; in almost every Urdu sentence, you will find "an Arabic word OR or a word of Arabic origins. There are simply a great many Arabic words - Arabic origin words in Urdu. Non the less I'll mention a few that come to mind here.
The word "wahid" is connected to "ahad". Both are used in Arabic and the former in Urdu means "the one, alone, etc.
The word "baab" in Arabic primarily mean "gate/door", in Urdu it means "chapter".
The word "madrassa" means religious school in both Arabic and Urdu; and connected with it are the following words used in Urdu, though their usage isn't limited to Urdu. " Mudarris-religious teacher, dars- lesson, tadrees-learning,
The word "hulwun" mean sweet in Arabic; in Urdu "halwa is a sweet dish, halwai is one who makes sweet dishes.
The word "maktab" in Arabic typically means "desk". Connected to it are the following words which are used in Urdu - kitab - book, kutub - books, kutub Khana - library or book case,
Muhasib means accountant in both Arabic and Urdu; "hisab" means account in Urdu and Arabic.
Tahir means bird in Arabic; in both Urdu and Arabic "tyara" means "aircraft".
Talib in Arabic means student: talib in Urdu means "seeker". Taliban is the plural of this word.
Connected to this are
the Urdu words, "matloob - required , talb - need ، talib'e ilm - student,

el yom yom el khamees, and I'm trying to learn Arabic :) Thank you for this video!
Days in Indonesian:
Ahad
Senin
Selasa
Rabu
Kamis
Jumat
Sabtu
nearly same to arabic
Too bad the word Ahad for Sunday has been gradually changed (by the big media) to Minggu which derives from domingo (portuguese/latin). People barely know Ahad now especially by the young
Portuguese:
Saturday = Sábado

Thank you for explaining how to say the days of the week in Palestinian Arabic. Love your lessons. BTW, you look radiantly beautiful, and you have a very lovely daughter. Mahbrook!
You are the best Maha! Love your lessons and I truly look forward to hopefully one day take your in person course! Much much love!!
Thankyou Laila ...giving me confidence to learn, thankyou too Maha😊😊
I only knew juma/jummah because I knew it meant to come together for Masjid (Mosque) for Muslims also many Islamic countries use it as a synonym for meeting and or congregations even many masjid are named juma. Thanks for the lesson Maha and Layla!
Mashallah beautiful, both are beautiful thanks for your videos!!! 🤗🤗🤗
Shukran Maha! You are so helpful 😊
Super interesting! I thought Friday would be something with 6. But now I see the relation to Turkish “Cuma” which is pronounced “Djuma”. It comes from Arabic! It all makes sense.
Love your videos 😊
My boyfriend is Palestinian so your videos help me so much to learn his dialect !
marhaba from Kazakhstan Kyrgyzstan thank u U r amazing teacher
You are naughty teacher of Arabic, your daughter is fantastic. She will also become good Arabic teacher insha Allah your teaching method is not boring. Continue.

Very good teacher very good mother and an adorable woman....u r a gem madam .... God bless you
Honestly listening to songs and then learning the words is super useful. One of my fav songs that came to mind is Yom wara yom by Samira Said
That is a classic !
Greta advice! Which other songs would you recommend to learn this way? I’m going to try it after this song toy recommended
These sound like the days of the week in Indonesian from Monday to Saturday
Senin, Selasa, Rabu, Kamis, Jumat, Sabtu
Hi my teacher Maha. This video, is the most beautiful 😍
It works the same way as in Portuguese: second, third, fourth etc.. Sábado and Domingo
Exactly lea, your channel has really interesting stuff
In Portuguese and I think in Galicia, Spain, the days of the week used to be just like in Castillian Spanish and other Romance languages but because the names are of pagan origin ie lunes es dia de luna it became segunda feira, Martes dia de marte became tercera feira etc only Sabado and Domingo didn't change.
Same in Greek
Sunday in Indonesian is generally called Minggu (from portugese Dominggo), the day of God, is it?
Beautiful lesson!!! Thank you very much!!! Your daughter is adorable!!
Thank you Maha 😃Beautiful lesson
She will also become very intelligent and beautiful like you Maha mam.Alhumdulillah .Stay blessed both of you .
Very adorable video having your co-host to help us learn the days of the week. بارك الله فيك
woow you are a wonderful teacher thanks 4 sharing with using
U are so smart mashallah
You’re daughter is so cute Mashallah 💞❤️
I like this dialect, it sounds like Hebrew to me. When you say El had it sounds like English Hat , it's very popular for a woman to have a dedicated Sunday Hat for Christian Church services here in the States. Nothing's by chance it's all foreseen
Ya Mo'aleema, you have a beautiful daughter, God bless your family.
Thank you, Maha I have been waiting for this. Now we need the seasons and months. Your daughter yamma shoe hai. il binet. The cutest

The bahasa Melayu and bahasa Indonesia adopted the Arabic days of the week as such ;
Monday = Isnin/Senin
Tuesday = Selasa
Wednesday = Rabu
Thursday = Khamis
Friday = Juma'at
Saturday = Sabtu
Sunday = Ahad or Minggu (from the Latin "Domingo").
شكراً جزيلا لك
