I think part of it too is interviewing has advanced and relaxed a lot since then. Back then there was super production and high pressure as opposed to something chill like this.
They needed to get rid of the live audience. I hate the little laughs. I thought Bill was good on this show if he just got to sit down and interview people.
The host seems surprised. He just does not want to be considered a hater. hip hop is definately at its worst. there are dope hip hop underground artist thou.
The trash that is out now is not Hip Hop, except for a few artists. That other shit is absolute fugazi nonsense, that I'm totally ashamed of #realhiphophead.
This was good I wish the Nas collabo with Pac n Biggie took place especially someone like Nas to talk to them on the impact they had on hip hop around the world...unprecedented

How do people think this is a laugh track? You can only hear like 5 people laughing. It's obviously the crew. I like that it's such a chill show and that they didn't edit out the laughs. Makes the show seem more down to earth and real.
+Christian 0000 That's true, but any successful basketball player who tried rap would have invested a lot more time in it later in their careers if they were really good at it. You can't tell me that A.I wouldn't have become a full fledged rapper if he was extremely successful in it. Shaq would have don't it too I think

A King In My Own Mind Except for the fact Nastradamus still had lyrical gems like Project Windows, Life We Chose, Quiet Niggas, and shit You Owe Me is still more lyrical than Drake's career.
I literally wondered if Nas still believed that hip hop was dead in 2019, and I expected him to answer in a similar fashion, mentioning artists like J Cole and Kendrick carrying the torch. I am somewhat surprised that he mentioned Drake considering how commercial his music is yet he does have his moments.
There are only a select few of hosts that conduct great interviews that I really enjoy, that arent totally clueless to the guest & their craft: Bill Simmons, Sway, Trevor Noah, Inside the NBA cast & TED stuff.
Nas has looked the same for the last 30 years
Lol he has aged , he drinks & smokes too much , but black don't crack unless u do crack

Durant and Nas with Bill is one of the best things I've ever seen. Basketball and Hiphop are pretty closely tied and this is such a great piece.

Damn, Nas is so wise! Talking about Pac and Biggie, you can just sense that everyone is listening closely, out of true respect!
@Lord Frieza Christ bozo
Lame ass nigga talking about Pac
I like how Nas has loosened up these days. More open relaxed statesmen. He used to be so closed off in interviews. Dope to watch.
Dude was just a little shy that's all.

Nas is more convivial on this one. He is usually stand-offish in interviews. Nice change.
