Trevor such a great interviewer. So rare to see a host actually listening to his guests, ask questions that doesn't belittle them and actually allows them to answer without interruption.
Great point Trevor made…Nas definitely struck a great balance between reminiscing on the past and giving advice for the future. AND he did it in a way that didn’t come off as condescending or preachy, which can be tough to do. He’s really embraced this mentor figure in hip hop and disproved the notion that it’s only a young man’s game
I absolutely love Nas and I think he is one of the greatest lyrical rappers to ever live, but being objective, you can't say Trevor doesn't ask some really amazing questions in these interviews.
That may be true, but at least Trevor is giving Nas the platform to reacquaint himself with loyalist like myself and introduce himself to the people of this generation who obviously don't know a thing about him. It works out
I grew up listening to Nas. He’s like a sage on the top of a mountain that comes down and gives you knowledge and then goes back on top of the mountain. This was said about him back in the 90s and he still true of him today he’s the gold standard
Nas was very diplomatic in his answer to "where hip hop is going" and i find it admirable even though im not a fan of 90% of it. He is still setting a precedent in his genre at the highest level, but at 50 years old
