7/29/16: Upon the news that Gregg Allman was under the weather and not able to perform his scheduled show at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater in Wilmington, NC, Scott Sherrard (Allman Band Guitarist/Music Director) and the band decided to play a free show open to the public. With an amphitheater full of enthusiastic fans, the band took the stage and what followed was nothing short of magical. The bands performance for the attending crowd was huge, soulful and charged with the love for playing music, with most songs lasting in excess of 8 minutes. It was a privilege to be asked to document such an event.
