Can't get enough of those ;) From what I've gathered pretty much every song of hers from her "Red" album, including that 10 minute super heartbreaking and full of hurt "All Too Well", is about Jake Gyllenhaal. Most of the songs are negative. But this song is about how she felt at the start of the relationship with him, and maybe looking back how she realizes they "loved in shades of wrong", but even if in the END it wasn't "something good and right and real", it felt like it was at the start, or some of what they had could've been the start of something so good and right and real. It's a hopeful positive song about this relationship.
And to think, this is the OPENING TRACK. It literally blew my mind the first time I listened to red and it set the tone of the album. I seriously had no clue how to gather myself after this as the first song on the album. It’s crazy

This song is about both of them (or everyone) living in a society detached from love and hopeful love, so they "touch and go" and "move fast through the traffic lights." But then she meets him, and is wonderstruck by the fact that this is real love, that it's not a fantasy, and is in the state of grace, realizing love doesn't have to be a ruthless game, it can be "played good and right" and can be "the worthwhile fight." It's one of the most romantic Taylor songs, there's no bad prisma to this.
