I’m the RPF guy who made that third one- thanks for the lovely review! I put a lot of love and detail into my V2 raptor claw, basing a lot of the textures off of what I could see on the screen used claw(hard to see a lot of the actual texture) and with actual fossilized raptor claws (I have a few fossil castings for reference) The paints are actually all acrylic with my own wash mixture!
Very interesting video ! Thank you :D. I do my own velociraptor claws and it's very useful to see how much every model is different... I like to make damages on mine to give them a fossil look, that would be the main difference with the original Alan grant claw. But a smooth aspect is also very cool !
I also have the third one from that same RPF maker. I tried getting one from Gavin years ago, but wasn't able to reach him and gave up. I agree, that RPF one is really nice, and it's unfortunate that the creator no longer makes them. According to him, the mold cracked after doing his second run, and I don't believe he's ever done another run of them.
I think it's like a resin casting.. I can't say for sure but it feels a little cold to touch. There are two versions, I've reviewed the smaller v2 on the channel too if you want to check that one out. As it's smaller may be less prone to breaking
So I just got the smaller DC raptor claw and I have to say it’s exactly what I wanted (In a good way). Definitely seems more durable than the plastic I had thought it was going to be made out of. Also thanks for the reply and like!
@@TheMonkeyManiac ah that is great to hear! I think you chose the better of the two! As it seems more accurate to me...enjoy! And thank you for tuning in
All are fairly light - resin cast. Gavin's claw feels slightly more weighty, perhaps it has been cold cast with some metal.. the licensed ones are very light

Nice video ! The very first one remains my favorite.
And if someone knows where I can find one please let me know !
Very cool
I just found one of the official amblin doctor collector ones today for $5. The tip was broken off, but present, so, nothing a little glue cant fix!
I like that repair & restore attitude! Enjoy it!!
Great raptor claw collection
I still got my ideal claw from Gavin, too! I love it!
Now thats great!
I wish I had one... soooo cool!
Yeah,it's nice till you touch it alot. Then the paint comes off showing the white resin underneath.
What is the material of the Doctor Collector claw? Reviews were sayings it’s fragile and breaks easily.

I own it. I was disappointed by the size. Wanted something screen accurate. Like you said though, it'll display well.
Correction Canon
Name of origin raptor
But these claws spurs actually emanate from the Deinonychus
"A 6-inch retractable claw like a razor on the middle toe."
What material are they heavy

@@JurassicCollectables nice man
Awesome
I made that second one! Did a small run on the rpf ages ago
Its a beauty thank you!! How many did you make total? They are hard to come by these days
I don’t recall but less than 40-50. I may still have the mold but it’s much too old to make any more.
Nice
Hopefully the claw makes a comeback in the third JW movie
I actually hoped the barbasol can or Raptor claw makes an appearance in Fallen Kingdom 😞
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😉
You've missed the bottle opener lol
Aha yes I have both of them but I wouldnt class them as prop replicas! Great pieces though
Nice man the craw is big as fuck. Thank you for sharing.
Idk 6ft turkeys had these claws
