This couldn’t have gone to anyone better!! I’m So Happy someone who is a huge Jurassic Park fan and truly appreciates this, owns it!! 🦖🦖👏👏👏
Thank you Matt, that means an awful lot. I'm glad I'm able to share it with fellow passionate Jurassic fans like yourself!
Incredible!! Glad it found a good home and wasn't lost to time!
Thanks Brandon!! Amazing to see close up, I feel very fortunate. I hope the video did it justice. Thanks for your comment and tuning in
As a fan, it’s absolutely wild to acquire a part of cinematic history like this. With JP playing its very important role in modern film, there really won’t be anything like this for someone to acquire. Big congrats on having this join the collection and thank you so much for sharing your journey 65 millions years in the making 🙏🏽
@@TheShutterPapi What a well written comment! Thank you so much for watching and following on this journey. It is such a historic object I really do feel grateful, I hope you enjoyed this close up look
Wow! This is a dream come true for any Jurassic Park fan! I've wanted one of these since I was 6 years old. I'm so happy for you and grateful to have followed this channel for so many years to discover crazy stuff like this masterpiece! Amazing!
Thank you and thanks for being a loyal fan of the channel. I'm so glad I can share it close up. Best, JC
Congratulations for acquiring a piece of film history. 👏🦖
Thank you! It is a staggering thing to have seen up close. I hope you enjoyed the video
@@JurassicCollectables Absolutely. I myself own one of the recently available replicas sold by Doctor Collector and even got one as a gift for my friend. A special claw to say the least.
I’m glad to see you are still collecting and enjoying stuff from Jurassic Park all these years later from when I first watched you. I remember you collecting the arm of Ray Arnold, and having canes and stuff but this really amazing to see!
Ah thank you for being a loyal fan for so long! Very kind words. I feel very honored, best JC
Fantastic. I agree with your sentiment about this object from the movie. I too wanted one badly when I was a kid, I bought a very cheap necklace replica from a toy shop molded from brown plastic and a very thick brown string through a hole drilled into it. I am glad you got the original and made a very nice display for it.
Ah what a great story! I remember seeing those necklaces too - as I was a fan of jaws I liked the replica shark teeth ones too. The claw was such a signature prop in this film, I can't believe I was able to share this. Thanks for tuning in and for your comment!
At long last! Thank you for sharing this!
@@JurassicOutpost Thanks for tuning in 🙏🙏 very kind. Big fans of your work keep it up!
The fact that this video doesn’t have at least 100,000 views is mind-boggling to me congrats bro I am so jealous🎉😂
All in good time! Thanks for your kind words and Happy Jurassic June!
Well done mate, congratulations. Glad it's in the hands of a huge fan and collector 👍🦖
Thanks Jedi_Daniel! It's really an honor to own one. I hope the video gave a decent close up look. Thanks for tuning in. Best, JC
Amazing. That is a big piece of history. Congratulations man.
Thank you 🙂 and thanks for tuning in and leaving a comment. Still can't quite believe it
@@JurassicCollectables you have a big item there.
@@TomSchreck-n1t a few years back I parted with the Sam Jackson's arm and leg set, which helped me obtain this. So you might say it cost an arm and a leg
@@JurassicCollectables you should say that in a video.
Congrats! So glad this special item belongs to you! You deserve it. Enjoyed the video. Happy for you!
Thanks so much! That's very kind of you. And really glad you enjoyed the close up look. I couldn't believe it at first, opening the box and picking it up. Unbelievable. Best, JC
I'm so glad you of all people got this incredible piece of film history. Can really tell from the tone of your voice this means a lot to you which makes it all the more heartwarming that it went to the right home.
As always great to see you here NightYoshi - that's very kind of you to say so. As a kid I dreamt of this prop, I honestly never expected to bump in to it in real life. Very honored. Thanks for your kind words 🙏
Congrats on this incredible piece. You deserve it.
Thankyou, so much. That's a very kind thing to say. Honestly I am just honoured to have gotten so close to it! And I hope sharing it was interesting for you, to see it close up like this!
I too were really thrilled with that object as a kid!
Thanks for showing it and taking good care of such an iconic piece of history, and congratulations for getting it! 👀👍
Thank you. It was such an iconic prop in the film wasn't it? I remember as soon as I laid eyes on it as a kid I was enthralled and wanted one of my own. So I got to work making them out of clay. Little did I know I'd one day find one for real! Best, JC
This is awesome !!! Its cool that a super fan have it now !!!
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful! Incredible! Thanks for sharing. Congrats on such an amazing acquisition! 😮
Ah David great to see you back and I hope you are well. I was very fortunate with this one eh. Thanks for your kind words
Congratulations dude so happy for you I’m currently working on my collection but still Congratulations hope you have a amazing happy Jurassic June 🦖🦕🦕🦖🦕🦖🦖🦖🤩🤩
Happy Jurassic June to you and thanks so much for your kind comment. Best, JC
This is spectacular; truly an iconic piece, and well-earned by you. Well done, sir 👏
Thank you JT2000, great to see you tuning in as always. I feel very fortunate and honored. Best, JC
Had to double take when I saw the video title. Of all the places this prop could go, I'm glad it went to you. Congratulations!
Thank you 🙏🙏
That thing sold at auction for over $20K!!!! Holy smokes, dude!!!! You the guy who keeps smoking me on the PropStore auctions?!
I can say with confidence that was another auction - one afterwards went for upwards of 60 (not mine either!). This was a very fortunate auction it seems. And Propstore - I agree the lots climb fast! I can't keep up, so that's definitely not me! Thanks for tuning in David 🙏
Just amazing!
Thanks TD3K! Appreciate your tuning in and kind words as always 🙏🙏
@@JurassicCollectables I always tune in 🤫
So awesome!
That thing belongs in a Museum.
Thanks for tuning in! Perhaps one day it can be displayed along with the objects on the channel! Until then I'll do my best to document everything found 👍
*raiders march intensifies*
Thanks for this insight. And very nice way of displaying this piece. After i read a few prices for other copies in the comments, would you mind telling us, how much you paid?
@@Der-Zitteraal I won't go in to prices (you can probably find online if you search, other claws went for astronomical value, mine did not) but I'll say this - I parted with the Sam Jackson arm and leg some years ago and that allowed me to acquire this. So I'll say it cost an arm and a leg 😂. Thanks for tuning in and for your comment!
when museums don't want it, JC "fine ill make my own museum for it" lol. it has a good home.
😂 haha Im always up for homing a piece of cinema history. I was very fortunate this time. Thanks for tuning in!
That's fantastic, spared no expense ay! Now you need to get a casting of Sam Neil's hand and wrist to display it on 🤣
Haha! Right! Adding that to the list absolutely. Holding it in that threatening 'respect' pose from the digsite 😂😂
Insane
*_AWESOME (😃)!_* I can’t help but feel a _teensy_ bit jealous (😄).
Thank you velociraptor4you, I was keen to share this with fans like yourself as I knew you'd enjoy a close up look. Always appreciate you tuning in
@@JurassicCollectables Oh, you’re welcome (☺️)!
INCREDIBLE! Now that you have an original, do you have recommendations on which replicas are the closest match? Do you think any of them used the original molds?
Great question!!! Yes Gavin's claw and the most recent addition to my replicas (as seen in the video in the description) are very good replicas. It's fascinating in person to see how it is sculpturally bold, yet has plenty of imperfections/wobbles that make it feel natural. So I'd say those imperfections and perhaps production wear/age is what sets it apart. Size is similar to most of the replicas out there.
@@JurassicCollectables Thanks! Is the most recent one the Doctor Collector raptor claw?
@@RadRetro I believe it's the PhantomForge replica, documented over on the RPF
just to clarify, this is the exact one Alan Grant holds in the film? like the exact prop from 1993?
@@DinoFazbear this one of *the* claw props from the film in 1993. I can be certain this the claw seen at the base of the tree in the film. Multiples were made and used for production throughout the film.
OoooooooooO .
The raptor claw
( =
Seriously cool BUT $60,000!!......🤯🤯
Ah that was another hero claw! A few have sold over the past 3 years, that was probably at a more prominent auction
So incredibly fulfilling to see, the piece is in the very best hands it could have possibly landed in. You deserve every bit of it.
Very kind words thank you nublarresort! Honestly very humbled and honored to be close to something I grew up watching. Thanks for watching and your very nice comment! Best, JC
