      It isn't the deadliest lake in the world. Assuming you don't drown, you could survive in it pretty well. In Lake Karachay, 1 hour would cause you to die of radiation poisoning. Frying Pan Lake is almost boiling, and Lake Nyos and Kivu literally explode.

    *For clarification since most of yinz didnt watch the entire video:*
    You can actually swim in the lake when the water temperature is cool enough but you should be careful of getting the water in your mouth, nose, eyes or an open wound as it would be extremely painful...you also should watch your step due to the jagged floor.
    If you drown in the lake, your body will turn to stone OVER TIME.

    I seem to remember back in the 1960's, as a child we were taught that the Dead Sea was the only known cure for a certain type of Athlete's Foot, as the toxic salinity and different kinds of stuff in the lake would kill the fungus. Now days, we have stuff that will do that, but I have to wonder if Lake Natron would clear up Athlete's Foot as well.

      @Warmenlt 3 роки тому +129

      In a way he answered the question just did not spoon feed as you would have liked. The facts that were stated about flamingo's certainly do not apply to us or you have any doubts? Let me break it down for you, what happens after you spend fifteen minutes in a bath with salts in it or just plain water? Your skin wrinkles up, that is ,because you have soft delicate skin unlike those flamingos therefore what would bother you does not bother them. Do you think you have strong enough stomach to eat toxic algae? certainly not, a reason its called toxic. Do you have glands that can filter salt water like a water filter and turn it into more neutralized form? I think not. Think before you comment, the purpose of this video wasn't children fundamentals for 4+ year old. Bottom line, he answered the question without answering it directly. You must be new generation, you think with ass before the gray matter kicks in (part of the brain responsible for decision making).

      Then she stormed into Athena temple asking for help.
      However, her clothes was torn and she didn't do the proper rituals.
      So some says Athena curse her for that. However, others says Athena did it so that no men would ever bother her again. As in trying to help.

    Here’s one. What if humans had evolved as the size of insects? Could we have survived over the millennia’s or would we have been wiped out by insects or nature? Would we have higher technology by this point or would we have never gotten out of the Stone Age? How many of us would be on the planet? Would there be more variety of races and maybe even humans that are now extinct like Neanderthals still around? Would more insect species be extinct due to over hunting? Could we domesticate insects to do the heavy hauling and get us around faster? Think about it, humans are larger than the vast majority of life forms on the planet but what if...

    The one image of the charcoal colored corpse that was used several times in this video was not found near lake Natron. The bright red hair is a clue to where it was found. That is one of the bog people that were found in the swamps of Ireland, hence the red hair.
    The throats of these corpses had been slashed ear to ear. Researchers don’t believe it was from battle or execution, instead they believe these people were offerings to the Druid gods. After having their throats cut, they’re tossed into the bogs which have an acidic quality, cool temperatures and low oxygen content that perfectly preserves the human body.
    The only noticeable effect is the discoloring of the skin, which it turns to a charcoal color. These mummies were featured on the cover of National Geographic back in the 1980s and I remember being fascinated with how much detail of their skin and facial features were preserved. The skin was so well preserved that scientist were able to extract perfect DNA from the mummies to help understand the people of that time period in Ireland over 2,000 years ago.
    You can clearly see every pore in their skin. Those bogs create the most detailed mummies I have ever seen.
