    Hey well done my man. I thought I was listening to a coroner doing a thorough autopsy on a cadaver. Excellent video complete with all the appropriate & correct vernacular. I'm contemplating this exact model in Dakota Red or a Jet JT300 in blonde. Once again great video. As far as the 90%/10% comments go, well, 90% of YT guitar reviewers focus solely on the playing, no shortage there. This review however is one in a million. The only comment I can make is that you were fortunate to get a "goo'dun" If you ordered another one it could be totally different. But honestly I've owned a Harley Benton bass and it was a very fine instrument. Thanks again and keep up that slow, methodical, and thorough style. You gained a sub also.

    Great review and demo. Thank you. I bought my H-B TE-62cc LPB telecaster a few days back and it is excellent. Well built and sounds very good
    for this amazing price. The only mods I have done at the moment is to install new Gotoh "in-Tune" brass saddles. I might install some new higher quality pots
    and pickups later, but at the moment everything works and sounds just fine out of the box!

      I would keep the stock pots and maybe play around with some CAPS... before changing pickups. You may be surprised just how much a tone bleed and a cap change can do.
      Install a PureTone Jack ! This is a must on all my guitars.
      Thanks for commenting and sharing... and come back and let everyone know what you end up doing to yours... What changes made the guitar better ....

    I order my Thomann gear from the German site and the guitars always come double boxed with those giant airbags wrapped around it. I have never had the packing fail on me despite the couriers trying their hardest.
    That seems a nice guitar and with some nut adjustment it will be a very nice guitar.

    • @DominionFretWorks
      @DominionFretWorks  10 місяців тому +2

      Yes, this guitar is nice....It would seem most of these budget guitars need a setup. This guitar was good enough for its price point though. If you buy this it would be easy to make it play much better just by doing some adjustments. The pickups do what they need to do . . and the electronics seem to be well installed
      I'd say this is a good buy at 220 bucks.
      A Squire Vide will run you 425.00 + tax .. I didn't do a side by side to the Vibe but this guitar is on the same level.

    I have the Harley-Benton SG equivalent, which is actually shaped more like the ESP Viper. The electronics were done correctly but cheap and not very nice sounding, very bright weak humbuckers. Small pots. Small wires. I replaced the internals with GuitarFetish humbuckers and a pre-wired harness. I also gave it some locking tuners. The construction quality is good, but honestly, they have a lot of competition right now, and HB can be hit or miss in some categories. Looks like this one was pretty good. All I had to do with the frets was give them a good polish and they are smooth as glass now. Low fast action. Thanks for reviewing this one!

    • @DominionFretWorks
      @DominionFretWorks  10 місяців тому +1

      WOW.. Thanks your insider view on Harley Benton and what you had to do to yours. That helps others know what they could be getting into when they pick one up.
      I thought it was time to review one of their products. I think all these products can be hit or miss at this level price point. This guitar is hitting around the Squire Vibe Line, but the Squire is costing around 400 to 450 now. So, I think this is a good deal for what you're getting.
      I liked playing it . . . it plays well out of the box without a setup. A good setup would really help this guitar in every way. As you saw in the video the intonation and first fretted notes were all high or sharp. A good nut dressing, Truss rod adjustment and a intonation tuning and this a good stage guitar. Something to take to gigs and not have to be concerned about it being damaged.

      Mine came from Germany single boxed . The box was punctured in a few places . The neck was very slightly damaged. I am going to repair it rather than going through the hassle of sending it back . For a very long shipment the packaging was very minimal.

    • @DominionFretWorks
      @DominionFretWorks  9 місяців тому +1

      Thank You for telling us how your was shipped to you.
      This one was sent from the USA warehouse and ordered from REVERB.
      The problem with this is the Reverb / USA stock is not the same as the main warehouse. Not all the models are shown and or for sale there. In some cases, some models you have to order it from Germany.
      Why they would not twin box it .... Dunno.
      The outside box on main was good.. Heavy duty .. The inside box was light and all the foam was broken off from the cardboard.
      I would say even my boxing would not be good enough to send overseas,,, even though it was twin boxed. It needs better padding inside the inter box.
      Thank You for watching the video ! @@Otis790

      Ya . . . I think your model on Reverb's Harley Benton Store is the best bang for buck in rock guitars . . . So, I thought I would try there 62 Tele model out and see what they were like.
      Nice playing guitar. The pickups like just a straight up amp... I found the best sounds was going through a basic rig. Not saying it doesn't like DSP units. But it was easier to find a good sound just running a basic setup.
      Even though I didn't show it .... It didn't feedback on the High Gain Stuff . . I don't think it did well with High Gain as far as the tone... I'm sure you could dial a sound in if you worked on it. I just couldn't seem to dial one in that sounded right to my ears. I have recorded demos in the past where I wasn't happy with the sound... and then lessoned to it on UA-cam and thought it was great.. DUNNO
      It seemed to like the Clean Channel and the Clean Channel with Boost/Dist Pedal.

      @@DominionFretWorks I have not looked lately but yea the TE-62 did not come in the surf green, I looked about a month ago and I believe now it does. For a little experiment I got a Thunderbird bass almost 2 years ago and only thing wrong was the plastic nut was not glued, did not make a difference on all my budget guitars and basses if it has a plastic nut I put a graph-tech nut. Shipping went up from$62 to $80, I ordered right from Thomann website. If you can do a set up and do some small mods they are worth it. Thanks for reply.

      No sure what SMACKING sound you are speaking of.....
      There is a lot of background noise ... Hummmm and Refig noise ...
      This video was done before I started using a noise gate... But even with the gate ... it misses with the audio if not set just right. Even some of my newer videos... I can seem to get the gate to work on all tracks.
      This video was done with a GoPro8 hero. and the audio recording from this camera is not so good. Video is on 1080P 30FPS still not the greatest.
      I'm now using GoPro10 Hero's which are a little better shotting at 2.7K 30FPS. Audio is still recorded on the GoPro with a SM57Pro during the demos and stock camera mic for talking.
      Looking at doing some changes.... But the cost of a Full SYNC video and audio recording setup is just crazy . . . . . 3 cameras and an 8 track field recorder with Sync. Plus, you need an editing software that can time sync.
      If you would please let me know what it is your hearing ( time stamp mark ) so I can see if it is something that has been fixed by the newer cameras or if it is something I need to address with speaking or setup.
