HOLY COW batman! I have been pulling my hair out trying to do this on my wordpress website, never being very happy with how it looked or the lack of integration w/ payment methods. And then I ran across this - which seems to do everything I want ... FOR FREE.
Thank you so much for this. Very informative. Is there any way to limit the amount of people that can sign up ie to have a max amount of people that can register for any given event?
Hey, thank you for this great video. It helped me a lot. Is there any way to send a payment confirmation email or may be a purchase ticket to the buyer?
Hey there, Check out enabling the new Advanced Confirmation Emails in the Notification settings of the sidebar: help.payableapps.com/en/article/payable-forms-advanced-email-capabilities-141qxbj/ After the user submits your form they will get an email with a QR code on it and a unique order ID. Typically this email and the link inside it can act as the "ticket" . If you scan the QR code from the email with your phone, it will take you to their order page, where you can see what they ordered and if it has been paid correctly. PayPal and Stripe send a Payment Receipt after payment, but we typically use the Order Created email as the ticket.
Hi, thanks for making this really great add-on! I was wondering if there is a way to make payment mandatory in order to complete the form. Based on what I understand, the registrant is able to fill out the form completely, and then choose not to pay, but their name would still show up in the responses. Is there a way to make payment a prerequisite for the registrant's name showing up in the response spreadsheet?
So you are correct that the way it works is registration is split into 2 steps. The first step is form submission, and the second step is payment of the choices from that submission. Sadly we are not able to block the form submission until after a payment is received. Most sellers prefer this method, because in a way it allows you to never loose the information from an interested customer. It allows you to potentially follow up or offer a promo code to those that did not submit payment. We add columns to the spreadsheet so you can see who has paid easily and who has not. You can add a filter on the status column to just see people who have paid if needed. You can also turn on payment reminders and we will send an email after 24 hours, to help remind anyone who has not paid they missed a step. Hope that helps answer your question. 👍
I followed the instructions but my form requires a file upload - and apparently the plugin doesn't work on these forms? Is there any workaround that you know of?
Hi. What happens if someone closes or refreshes the payment tab. Will he have to fill up the form again? Since the spreadsheet will show pending payment at this stage.
If a customer completes the Google Form, and then transitions to the checkout page, but for some reason decides to leave the checkout, or close that window without paying it is not a problem. At the time of the form submission we also email the user their Order ID and the link to checkout so they should have it in their inbox. This way they can always get back to the checkout page and pay for their order later. You can also copy the link out of your sheet and re-send it to them if you wish.
I like this. So if someone chooses not to pay. We can reach out and offer them alternative ways to pay like Cashapp or Zelle, just not through this, but at least the total is recorded correct? and we can manually input the payment received, right?
Correct. You can mark an order as paid outside of the add-on by using these steps. help.payableapps.com/en/article/manually-updating-a-payable-order-status-fw3z7/
On the payment link page, is it possible to disable the "Contact Details" on the payment page between the order details and the payment options section? It seems repetitive to have them fill out the for asking for the same info more than once so if I can remove it I would like to.
Hey there, The contact details are required for us to collect on that page and passed on to the payment provider (PayPal, Stripe, Square). Sadly we are not able to pre-populate that information from data that is collected in the form. Once the user has gone to a check-out page once, we do save that contact information in a cookie, so if they come back and submit your form again, they should not need to re-enter it on the second, third, forth... payment. While it is a second entry of the email and name, we also use it to ensure we have matched the correct order up with the form submission.
Just wondering, I am going to start up a business where I will giving away and selling PDF forms and eBooks. Can I use this method to do so and how much would it cost for each transaction when people purchase. Thank you in advance for responding.

We are hoping to add in the future the ability to limit the recurring period after a certain amount of cycles. So you could do something like “Four Month Plan - $100 / Month X 4”
For Quantities there is not multiplication of 2 inputs - You simply must list each price out for each quantity independently like in the guest pass example.
Very cool but how can we make payable forms for clients ? Because the app asks you to connect a Paypal account and of course the client will not give you access to his account
You should be able to copy the URL from the first payable hosted connect page that opens. Then send that to your client. Let them go through the connection flow, and later you can click the check-connections button.

Sadly not - We wish we could. The confirmation message is on the Google Form itself, and Google does not allow any customization beyond text and text links.
You will pay your connected payment provider (PayPal, Stripe, Square) like usual. Be sure to check the rates with the payment provider by country. The payment provider will add a small platform cost for each successful transaction setup by payable as outlined here: www.payableplugins.com/cost-calculator.php
Which page do you want a QR code to be on? We have an update coming shortly where we will include a QR code in the confirmation emails. If you want to turn your google form into a QR code, you can do that. Take the share URL for your google form, and shorten it, then use any QR code generator online, when people scan that we code it will take them to your google form, then payment.
To do a refund you will login to your connected payment provider (Eg PayPal, Stripe, Square) and click refund from inside their dashboard. The order will update automatically after the refund to reflect once its refund.
