Tip: if you use some clear gel polish or top coat you can blend it much easier and get a cleaner ombré look with less frustration during blending & will get a less hard line across the nail 😊❤

I use very thin layer of clear gel before putting the color on the tip. It makes fading the color back super easy.

I went to China for my 12 th birthday this year and got my nails professionally done. Ombré and Matte. IT WAS LIKE, perfect, no kidding. It was so blended, just like professional watercolour. Then the matte made the purple even BETTER! I had to add a sticker onto my ring fingers. It finished everything off, that LV(Louis Vuitton) sticker, just perfected life. I can’t wait to go back to China again and get it done.

Wow. Great job! Yes, glitter gel polish ombré is pretty easy to execute. However, I have only ever seen solid colour gel polish ombré done with a sponge so I am very impressed. I love it!

Yay~! Suzie's on the ombre brush train! What also helps (especially if you're doing one toned ombre) is using clear. I've noticed the more slightly fluid the gel color is, the better the ombre transition. Plus, doing two toned, and even three toned gel ombre becomes twice as fun to do and look so pretty! I think Elizabeth over at The Nail Hub has a video on one. 😀
As someone who can't grow her nails very long(or feelcomfortable in longer nails), I'm interested to see how these ombre designs would look on shorter nails.
Could you do a tutorial for ombre on short nails as it seems like it would probably be a little harder to do, Suzie?

I've been watching these types of videos trying to learn this technique and out of all the videos I've watched not one person has mentioned the very light touch you apply while blending it out. Nor have they mentioned cleaning the brush out with alcohol and drying the brush out in between strokes. No wonder my attempts have turned out a hot mess. ❤️Thank you Suzie

I love that part too, most people edit out the oopsies because they wanna look perfect, but imperfection is what makes us perfect as nail techs. And Im from SC so youre not that far from me! lmao

Wouldn't it be easier to also use the base colour in the fade? If you have some of the base colour to mix the colour with maybe it'd be easier to get a smooth transition? Of course I don't have much experience with gel polish, I'm generally a regular polish user, but it makes sense in my head.

I love how educational your videos are! Ive watched a few other channels doing ombre work with a similar brush and from my viewing, it seems a bit easier to ombre with that brush when you use two colors. Butt the colors up next to each othee and then use the brush to tap at the line where the colors connect and work the colors together into a soft fade. I feel like it would soften the line between the colors if you had used a nude with the red and then blended them together with the ombre brush. Love, love, love your channel!
