- Winter fishing is always challenging, but there's some research you can do to improve the bites. In this video, I have explicitly come to the lake that has severe vegetation growth in the summer time. Those are the spots well preserved for winter fishing!

Just found your channel yesterday. I really enjoy your adventures! Greetings from Germany 😊🤙🏼🎣
Hello from New York! Very Glad you like them! Thanks for the support, this is the exact encouragement that'll keep me continuing to bring my fishing trip online!
Nice Video, i grew up fishing Oakland lake, Kissena park and Flushing Meadows. Never thought about winter fishing those lakes.
Very cool! Kissena park is definitely on my to-do list, it is so far my favorite city park to go fishing, I am saving that one for the best season, the spring time!
Nice video, its good you show your locations and lures used. That's great..keep those videos coming.
Thanks very much for your support! I try to go out every weekend, winter is officially here, and fishing becomes weather permitting, but I ll try to keep up the videos! Much thanks!
Great lure choices. Great passion.
Thanks very much! I'll try to do more field test of different lures!
I try going here, but i had no luck. I'm thinking about using nightcrawlers.
Hello there... I heard you said that you can not keep any fish???
Yes, you can’t keep fish from any New York City park
@GoFishingWithMe shut!!! What about Reservoir or lakes???
@@blackcrowdown rules varies in different counties, you ll need to look up the regulation online, but generally speaking, you can keep fish from reservoir
Good afternoon sir I just want to know if you caught any crappie in the winter time at massapequa Park because I want to give it a shot this coming weekend
I caught them at Oakland lake
@@gofishingwithmeofficial where's that is that in Long Island
Nice size crappie. What size hooks to you use?
It was a very small crappie jig, I don’t remember over the top of my head
Will crappie and pickerel bite in the winter months Dec thru Feb
Yes they will
Nice man good fish 🐟
You should come to New Jersey
Thanks very much! I will definitely go out to Jersey. I just started this channel, there's a long list of places that I'll go over one by one, basically you won't see me posting the same place twice. Stay tuned, I am coming!
What do you use for bait
its explained in the video, I have showed the package
Come to prospect Park lake. Nice video.
Thanks! I will, it is on my to-do list, probably not in the dead winter though, I don't wanna tell people how great it is while I only catch a few myself, haha
I was thinking of going there but I have heard the vegetation is terrible and you lose a lot of tackle. When does the vegetation start going away. Besides pickerel bass and crappie what other species are in oakland
In the spring, that lake is very clean, but still a lot of tully roots and log, loosing a few rig is inevitable. There’s carp, catfish sunfish as well
I usually go to Kissena park. They have catfish bluegill crappie and largemouth bass. There are carp in there but I have never caught one. I used to go to Crocheron park for carp but there are rats there alot of them. There is a great pond Bowne park but there doing construction and won't be ready for a long time. Big carp koi catfish bluegill and giant largemouth bass
@@thomasboyle1483 I have never fished there, that's nice to know! Thanks
@@thomasboyle1483 do you mean that lake is under construction right now? I'd be interested to check out that pond later this month
@@gofishingwithmeofficial it won't be ready till the spring I hope
Nice crappies! Are there a lot of fish there in winter?
They are not going anywhere, should be plenty
@@gofishingwithmeofficial thanks, i live a walk distabce away from here. I kind of wanna try fishing here.
@@gofishingwithmeofficial i went here a couple times, do senkos work?
Going to oakland tomorrow going to try worms if nothing happens will Try lures
The crappie lure in the description should work well, or anything similar
