Rip n' Dip - Thornhill, BC

This is a super fun jump trail over in Maple Ridge, BC that features progressively larger gap jumps. I'm not the most confident jumper so it's nice to have a trail where you can gradually challenge yourself. I rode this for the first time last year and was eventually able to hit everything but the last stump gap. It's a decent sized gap with a bit of a step up and I just couldn't get my head around it. This year, I did one warm up run to get my speed sorted and then went up for a second. I told myself that I'd make the call on the stump gap at the bottom and was feeling pretty good so I threw in some extra pedal strokes and sent it! Progress is harder to come by as you get older so I was happy to check off all the hits.

hit the for the first time the other day, 2nd ride in over 2 years. the progression on this hill really helps. felt spooked at the bottom and didnt hit the last one. great vid!

Nice! It took me a while to work up the confidence to gap the stump. It runs pretty well on a dry day and because it's a step up, I find it's easier to get the confidence to just pedal in as hard as you can.

Such a good line and close my house. Been trying to dial this in with my hardtail lately. I don't seem to have the same fearless send on it as I do with my big bike lol. Been a fun challange🍻🇨🇦

Definitely took me a while to work my way up to it. Following a better jumper into the trail helped the first few times to get an idea of speed as well.
