@@badass6.0powerstroke10 Yeah, no wrong again. The 1970 boss 429 and the 19701/2 Falcon 429 cobra jets were also some of the quickest and fastest fords back in the day. And the 1970 mach 1 428 cobra jet was certainly no slouch either. If i had to pick one, The 70 Mach one with the 428 cobra Jet would be my choice. I remember back in 1970 watching a Grabber orange Mach 1 being unloaded off the car hauler at Howard Ford in Beaver dam Wisconsin and wanting one ever since. Nice car. I had a friend back home, that had a 70 Torino Squire Station Wagon, with the factory 429 Cobra Jet. The car was the same as yours, but it was an orange with wood panel station wagon. He couldn't afford 2 cars, and he needed a station wagon for his job, so he ordered both a muscle car, and a station wagon built into one.

Wow! Beautiful Torino! When I read the title about the .772” lift cam my first thought was the FAST (Factory appearing stock tire) class. Those cars are awesome!

I like all about this car, this machine is beautiful, props to the engineer crew, the ones who build the machine and the owner of this beast. The color also fits perfectly! 😎

F.Y.I, The 1970 Ford Torino/Fairlane was voted by Motor Trend magazine "Car of the Year for all it had to offer the buying public in the SEXIEST mid size car on the market. That's why I bought my 71 Torino Gt in1981. Wish I still had this car. "Ford has a better idea. It's the going thing".LIGHT BULB!!!

I'll be honest. As a soldier stationed at a base upstate New York in '73 I managed to acquire a 1970 Torino Cobra, 429 SCJ solids, 4 spd. drag pac. It apparently was set up to run light to light in the NYC boroughs. Exhaust sounded incredible. The car only had 13,ooo miles.( I made a huge mistake when I traded my '67 firebird 400 ,TH-400 trans. )
I dropped a valve while on a road trip to Missouri, and once I found out the cost of a new head, bare - no valves or springs, I knew I couldn't afford to own it. $672.84 if I remember correctly. One beautiful red Cobra, but a lemony 2 year ownership.

At age 18 I paid $800 canadian in 1976 for a 1971 SCJ dark green Torino , drag pack C6 column shift bench from seat, monster with slip lock posi track , no air , and an am radio, lock down hood pins and 58,000 miles on it. My ride for two years. sold to pay for college. Next owner lasted 3 weeks then cartwheeled several times - total demo. loved that car.

Had a 70, 429, manual, only 40k miles at the time.. It was dark green. I was a Junior in high school, 1983, it roasted everything the school kids had. Heh, this one softy had a 455 Firebird that might have taken my Torino but he didn't know how to drive so no worries there. I wrecked it. I was a senior, Leaving for the Navy 2 weeks after graduation. My old man replaced the Torino with a 70 Mach 1, 60k miles, 351C, manual, Grabber Orange. It was for the 3.9 GPA and not costing a dime in college. That Torino would FRY tires to the end of time, come to think of it the Mach 1 would also. Both had the same wheels
