Alessandro Rocchi Love from America, thought you would like a small taste of my '67 HO Firebird. She was not the fastest but lot's of fun. High compression (10.75 to 1) 400cid (6.6) liter 4 speed with 4.11 rear gear. The thing about these 'muscle' cars at that time, was driving with that much compression made them very touchy (responsive) to throttle input. I could be running 45 MPH in traffic and down shift to about 4 MPH with just the engine compression easily. I once had a guy tell me my brake lights were not working but soon realized I didn't use the brakes. I had 3 buddies in the car one time and we had a hill that was pretty good grade, the Firebird walked up the hill turning about 200 RPM maybe less. You would hear and feel each cylinder fire less than half the speed of counting to 10. Again....Thanks for the post.

Yes. I had a 73' F250 with a Factory Hood Tach and a blownup 429 when I got it. Also a garage I rented yrs. before had a 429 laying with no plugs in it and in a leaking garage, I hauled to next garage where it sat outside but covered pretty good. Took great time in getting it to spin over and as luck would have it she fired up like a beast in the F250 with no smoke at all. A local mud bog came up and I registered it for Street class thinking I had all the rules but didn't get the tire rules as I mounted 16.5 front 4wd tires on it. Got turned in for it and had to run it with the Super Modified's. Took a piece of wire n wired the 2barrel direct to the 4barrel so they both opened right up. Started with 1rst place got slowly bumped to 3rd n last guy put me in 4rth overall. I was thrilled my Street truck whipped quite a few modified/blown trucks. Just recently learned the 429 literally put out 500 H.P. but was under rated for insurance reasons. See a lot of older stock Camaro's racing Old Mopars that barely get out of 300+ H.P.. Love to see them drag a stock mustang with that Ole' 429. Badass motor that should make a Stang fly!
Mustang has always been my favorite muscle car. I owned a 1965 6 cylinder convertable, 1967 289 hardtop and a 1969 that I built up using a 351 Cleveland and with Blackjack headers and chrome side pipes it sounded like something bigger under the hood. Lol
The BOSS 9 is worth a lot more as a collectors item because they are far more rare. The BOSS 9 has more HP and a higher top speed if both cars have the same gear. However, when both are stock, the a 428 CJ powered Mach 1 is a little quicker in the 1/4 mile. BOSS 9's were designed for top speed and round track racing. The 428CJ is more about drag racing, especially those old illegal red light derbies.
@@CJ-ib2jy Also to Note, FORD had to produce 500 BOSS 429 units to meet Nascar homologation rules. Unfortunately they were offered with a LOT of mismatched components .And the worlds crappiest exhaust system . All of which Never allowed the Boss 9 to even come close to it's Full Potential.. The poor 428 SCJ was kind of a dinosaur compared to the Mighty Boss 9 !

By the book ’69-’70 Power Steering - Caster Left: +2 Right: +2½ Chamber Left: -¼ to -½ Right: -1⁄4 to -¾ Toe in 1⁄8 to 3⁄16-inches
I used to like the'69'e the best but as I aged, the fake brake air scoops began to annoy me - only because they are fake. Ditto for fake hood scoops which is why I now prefer the '70 CJ with ram air.
That's how old RWD cars are aligned. The idea being that the resistance of the tires moving down the road at speed would flex the old A arms and the wheels would be straight. Even modern RWD cars (though theres few here in the US) are aligned that way, not as drastic any more though as A arms are stronger now, and with struts on top usually.
@@veteranheavyequipmechanic4990 Ha ha ha!!! What??? Not true! Suspensions never flex that much. I was ASE certified in suspension for many years. I have no idea of mechanics and engines. That being said, could someone tell me why old sport cars sound so good (deep sound) compared to modern sport cars (high-pitched sound)?
@Drty_Windshield Yes and that fact they had carburetors as opposed to EFI. I've had 5 mustangs, all '86 and above. while I loved each one and they sounded good, nothing beats that sound you get with a carburetor.
Good to talk simply. These were bigger motors, often not revving as highly. In these examples they had 'lumpy' camshafts (cams). These make the idle rough but are better for performance (let more fuel in - google a diagram of a camshaft). Then exhausts are also more free flowing. Plenty more but that's some basics!
Absolutely beautiful and bad~ass Mustangs, but they need to take those stupid looking over~sized wheels off of the two 69s and stick some era style 15 inch Cragars, American Racing or Factory Ford GT wheels. Look how much better the 70 Stang looks with era size wheels!!! Never have and never will like the look of the so called customizer "Chip Foose" style look. This modern day shit just don't go with the classic Muscle Cars of the 60s and 70s!!!
I have 17's on my 1967 '500. They are a copy of the 10 spoke design. No one really runs 15" rims anymore because of a lack of tire choices. I'm running 245 x45 x 17 in front and 255x40x17 rear. Most really don't notice right off the bat because they are the same height as the OE tire and rim.
I have two '69 Mustangs. A non-Mach 1 SportsRoof in which a previous owner installed a black Mach 1 interior and a standard convertible. Both cars have exhaust cutouts and definitely roar at WOT. The '69 SportsRoof body is undoubtedly the best looking American car ever built.

They made 'em fine in '69. God how I miss my '69 351w. Cheers from UK.

Engine made in the city I'm from and where most 5.0's are made today.
The 60-70’s were the prime of the American cars design. This mustang is literally a dream car for everybody
Yep, I had one in the UK in the late 90s, loved it so much
My favorite car. Sounds amazing! On a side note wish more car meets in the states could be more classy like the ones in this video!
My first car, purchased in 1973 was a lime green metallic 1970 Mach 1 with the same deluxe white vinyl interior (“comfort weave”) as the red 1969 at the start of this video. Mine was a base 351 Windsor with probably 1/2 the HP of the ‘69. Still love those cars. Thanks for the video.
I began to fall in love with muscle cars for about a decade .... I love them all unconditionally, even though of course I have my favorites ... too bad to be born in a shitty country that is Italy where the state eats you with taxes most of the salary you take home at the end of the month ... also the cost of living is even higher than the salary I take ... surely in America with some sacrifice I would have realized my desire to own one of these race cars .... but unfortunately I am in Italy (again a shitty country) and I have to settle for a Renault of shit ... thanks America for creating the muscle cars .... I will continue to dream about them for life ... I apologize for my bad English but I'm using a translator

Love from America, thought you would like a small taste of my '67 HO Firebird. She was not the fastest but lot's of fun.
High compression (10.75 to 1) 400cid (6.6) liter 4 speed with 4.11 rear gear. The thing about these 'muscle' cars at that time,
was driving with that much compression made them very touchy (responsive) to throttle input. I could be running 45 MPH in traffic and down shift to about 4 MPH with just the engine compression easily. I once had a guy tell me my brake lights were not working but soon realized I didn't use the brakes.
I had 3 buddies in the car one time and we had a hill that was pretty good grade, the Firebird walked up the hill turning about
200 RPM maybe less. You would hear and feel each cylinder fire less than half the speed of counting to 10.
Again....Thanks for the post.
Move to America, your future generations won’t regret it.
@@narehenrie3250 thank you for understanding me. I'm not disgusting Italy as a country .... it makes me sick to live there because of the one who commands it. had I listened to my father's advice so many years ago to go abroad since in Italy there is almost certainly no future ... maybe if I had followed him it would have been better .... I have a job here in italy (underpaid) and a son .... admitted that he wants to try a life outside of this country I would be out of place, I don't know English, I have little money aside, I wouldn't know where to start .... besides I'd probably already be too old ( I'm 34 years old to start a new life. I apologize again for my English but I use a translator
@@alessandrorocchi8953 I appreciate a lot your honesty. Don't think you're to old...this is not true, believe me. I'm 38, and I've changed 2 times the country because the same reasons, just to live a better life. And if the things doesn't go well maybe I'll change another one. We have our rights to be there where better for us and our family is.

Beautiful looking and sounding car !!!
Thank you! 😁👍👍
I can't believe how popular vintage American muscle cars are in Europe now. The Scandinavian countries in particular seem to have developed a special love affair with them.
This car never gets old
Just wow! ❤ the 65-70 Mustangs...
One of the most beautiful car designs of all time
ILL NEVER CHEAT ON HER!!! SHE'S THE ONE FOR ME SINCE I FIRST LAID EYES ON HER!!! SHE'S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAR IN THE WORLD!!! THE 69 MACH 1!!!!😍
Amazing. Just amazing

@@_Daniel_Plainview Some lines from the movie "John Wick".
Q8 R8 dude, Not this Bitch 😎😎
friend of mine in high school 1976 had a 1969 mustang with a 351 windsor it had the most unique small block exhaust sound when you were in the car and he was going thru the gears just very crisp and happy sounding
A 69’ Mach 1 is the epitome of American muscle, in my opinion. For sure my all-time dream vehicle
My absolute favorite classic car engine sound by far. 😍😍😍🎶🎶🎶
Absolutely love American cars .designed deep from the Heart .this mustang looks and sounds awesome.
I LUV IT 2
this sound is worthy of a grammy
What a great looking and sounding Stang.
67,68 ,69 are the best years of Mustang period!! And the 69 with the fender vents and dual headlights EPIC to say the least It a shame their prices aren't up there with 68-69 Chargers ,They probably will soon 67,68,69 mustangs fastback only ,70,71,72,73,77,78 trans am firebird" and 68,69,70 Charger there my top musclecars, and of course Chevelle 57 Chevy ,
Driving a 66 coupe over in Melbourne Australia
Man I love car shows like this! 👌🏿
Thanks! More cool shows and cars on the channel 😁👍👍
Got to admit, this is a really good looking and healthy sounding Mach1! But remember, it didn't sound exactly like this out of the factory!
Bet you can’t make any fwd sound this cool
❤ 428 cobra jet, 351 Cleveland Boss 302 and the Boss 429 sound
ed the best , just my
Opinion for 69 and 70 ❤
Great vid 👊🏼 Love me some clean (spoilerless) Stangs 👌🏼
I had a '69 Mach I with a 428 CJ and Cherry Bomb mufflers. It was easily the best sounding car I have ever owned. Motor music!
I love seeing American Muscle over in Europe/Scandinavia
Oh, man, that's one gorgeous Mustang. Sounds like an absolute BEAST, too! I love her! 😍💖
In my opinion this is the best sounding v8 ever!
so so so so so nice jammie
Mach 1s are cool but, the BOSS 429 was KING !
That 429 is worth a a few $'s more too. 💰
The 351 cleveland beats it in the 1/4 mile but beyond that yes BOSS is KING
428 mach 1 was a beast and could hold its own with anything
Pissing off Vette owners all over the world
Best Muscle car ever. Mach1
Ford
#countryboycansurvive not that I could afford either of them but I dig the boss 429 by a little bit
Didn't say vettes are muscle cars.
It was 2 separate statements....
Mustang has always been my favorite muscle car. I owned a 1965 6 cylinder convertable, 1967 289 hardtop and a 1969 that I built up using a 351 Cleveland and with Blackjack headers and chrome side pipes it sounded like something bigger under the hood. Lol
Had a 69 mach 1. 351 Cleveland block. It was quick
69 didnt have a cleveland but a windsor
That 70' at the end MOVES!!
This is my dream car and one day, I will get it.
Same

There is nothing like American Muscle Cars..👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
joe smoe I know i have one now
When I go to the car shows I always like to look at the older mustangs the 1969 Fastback is my favourite 😍
its not just a car..
its john wick's car !
John Wick will always be a pu**y as associated with Keanu Reeves . This Car? Never in a million years.
This puts a smile on my face
What a different between Mach 1 and boss 429?
Thank you
The BOSS 9 is worth a lot more as a collectors item because they are far more rare. The BOSS 9 has more HP and a higher top speed if both cars have the same gear. However, when both are stock, the a 428 CJ powered Mach 1 is a little quicker in the 1/4 mile. BOSS 9's were designed for top speed and round track racing. The 428CJ is more about drag racing, especially those old illegal red light derbies.
one cubic inch
@@CJ-ib2jy Also to Note, FORD had to produce 500 BOSS 429 units to meet Nascar homologation rules. Unfortunately they were offered with a LOT of mismatched components .And the worlds crappiest exhaust system . All of which Never allowed the Boss 9 to even come close to it's Full Potential.. The poor 428 SCJ was kind of a dinosaur compared to the Mighty Boss 9 !
@@phantomstratocaster its not about that cubic inch, it's about the shorter stroke and bigger piston, and different cam/timing
I bought a '69 Cobra Jet 428 4-speed Drag-Pack Mach1 in '78 for 1,300 bucks. Lol. I sold it a couple years later for 1,800 and thought I'd cut a fat hog. Dear God, the car was an animal! Car dudes around town were scared to death of it. Sure wish I still had it.
Yeah built one too C6 though , I my EX-WIFE said it was evil and from the 😈 and she didn't , even go to church!
this Car is Nice & has a Great sound, But it needs some front end alignment. The 1969 is my Fav.
Try This 1969 Spec I ran- -- - O.3 negative camber 2.5 pos. caster 5/16 toe in with stock suspension component.
By the book ’69-’70 Power Steering - Caster Left: +2 Right: +2½ Chamber Left: -¼ to -½ Right: -1⁄4 to -¾ Toe in 1⁄8 to 3⁄16-inches
You could do better eye balling it; that is BAD!! Looks toed in about 5 degrees
I used to like the'69'e the best but as I aged, the fake brake air scoops began to annoy me - only because they are fake. Ditto for fake hood scoops which is why I now prefer the '70 CJ with ram air.
@@CJ-ib2jy I took my scoop off and cut a round open in the hood re-installed the scoop. I think 8" egg round? it's been awhile.
Love my '04 Mach 1 sound with the Borla catback aftermarket exhaust. It's got that beefy sound!
Wait a minute, anybody notice that it's the same car at different events/places?
I think we have a stalker!!! Bwahahaha 😂

Very nice unique paint and wheel combo
Ohh mannnn this car 🔥🔥🔥
Very nice video and gave you a Thumbs Up !

Sounds awesome but needs an alignment. Severely towed in!
Noticed that extreme toe-in also at 1:30.
I thought I was the only one who saw that.
I've done enough alignments on cars to know that that guy's alignment is jacked up just by looking at it. No need to even put it on the rack and measure it! Don't see why people feel the need to spread info like that...???
@@westernapache1700 because it's true! You can stick that ASE nonsense it's just a bunch of crap book tests anyone can get, and yes I had mine before when I was turning wrenches. Have you ever aligned a RWD vehicle, I'm guessing not by your statement. They're always toed in!! Always!!
Sounds great!!! The stripes went from orange or gold (rare combo and WOW!!!) to black. I like the orange striping a LOT more :) lol they're different cars. Didn't realize till I saw the teal one

I still prefer the 67 fastback myself or the 69 Shelby 500 but I would take any of them if I was offered 😂
Thats dangerously good sounding!
1:32. she has a serious geometry/parallelism problem of front axle!!!!

You are correct. Too much toe in. Easy to see.
The best sound... I love it.
@@brockjohnsson4686 Wow! Thank you, man!
This car never gets old..! 🔥💣
Looks isn't everything, many prefer the improved handling
I have 17's on my 1967 '500. They are a copy of the 10 spoke design. No one really runs 15" rims anymore because of a lack of tire choices. I'm running 245 x45 x 17 in front and 255x40x17 rear. Most really don't notice right off the bat because they are the same height as the OE tire and rim.
Yes Sr all original 100%
I have two '69 Mustangs. A non-Mach 1 SportsRoof in which a previous owner installed a black Mach 1 interior and a standard convertible. Both cars have exhaust cutouts and definitely roar at WOT. The '69 SportsRoof body is undoubtedly the best looking American car ever built.
1:27 nice car check your toe-in
The mustang 69 is the only car thats worth going back in time for.
1971 Plymouth Cuda convertible with a 426 4 speed. Sexy car and worth millions now. I agree though, ‘69 and ‘70 Mustangs especially the Boss 429 are damn sexy.

My Dad bought a brand new Mach 1 when they first came out. Olive Green with the gold striping. I can still remember that “new car smell”.
I had a blue one just like this before uncle sugar grab me my mother let car go back bought it for 3 grand out of high school payments were 95 a month got payments reduced to 45 then found out my mother had let finance company take it back
I remember when they first came out. I wanted one so bad, but could not afford it. Awesome car!
I've heard a whole lot of mustangs that sound better than this one.
Sounds awesome. Crane made a grind it was one of the enforcer series, 501/501 lift 246@.50 and cut on a 106 lobe separation or lobe centerline.
