I’m currently on a trip driving across Sweden … I did a count over several hours on the E4 highway and came up with a ratio of Volvo wagons to Volvo SUVs to Volvo sedans on the road of roughly 20:10:1 … in other words, twice the number of Volvo wagons on Swedish roads as Volvo SUVs (my counting sample was > 100 Volvos) ….
Definitely 👌 Was some rumors some years ago that it got to expensive with a PHEV Cross Country version.. Would probably sell pretty good if they made it, but we're never gonna know
@andikoo82 Yeah. Sadly.. Maybe it will change back in some years.. We have gotten several sweet wagons lately. With Audi A6 E-tron, BMW M3 Touring & i5 Turing, and also VW id7
@@volvo_kristian we have an expression in my country, hope is a bitch, looking at global sales for all manufacturers, gray black and white SUVs are on top. It's because people have been misinformed that SUVs are safer, and more practical than wagons, and gray cars sell better on the second hand market. The truth is the opposite, but the damage is done. Oh also they are less economical because of weight and Cx factor no matter the propulsion type. Basically electric SUV are the worse for economy compared to other car shape....
As I've mentioned in the video. 94% of all new car sales in Norway in August 2024 was BEV vehicles.. There's no law against it, but again.. As I said in the video it's crazy high tax on Plug-In Hybrids
You will still be able to buy petrol, diesel and hybrid cars as long as they are made even after the 2025 when we "ban" ICE cars. however they will be so expensive in norway compared to EVs that it doesn't make sense. There are a lot of people i know who wants the v60 and v90 to be available in ev, me included. we don't really get cars that are made for our climate and volvo is one of the brands that do. they really missing out
numbers are "low", but its still 44 thousand customers... about the pricing in norway - its artificially distorted market by GOV, i would be really pissed if i would be living there and wanting v60. absolutely stupid.
its hard to believe, but to be honest, the management is shooting itself in the foot with this decision... most customers will go to the competition... bye bye volvo. SHAME on you.. and Its still hard to believe for me and I hope Wagons will be back in 2025., fingers crossed. and thanks for the movie
@@volvo_kristian I'd say is more related to taxation than anything else. Of course XC60 would still outsell v60/v90, but in my opinion it would still be enough demand for wagons if taxation was fair. Just for ref. new Tesla 3 starts at 324k NOK. Of course it's not same category, but give you perspective: 300NOK vs 800NOK, both brand new. This outgoing generation of VOLVOs is one of the most beautiful things that happened in automotive industry, ever. New Ex, Es series will not match the current/outgoing generation volvos in terms of design, I see that already.
@andikoo82 Well they have built it for several years.. and few Norwegian customers came. So that's why they will go. Volvo will still build them, and sell them in other markets
@koszalekopalek9068 Yeah, for Norway's part then taxation are definitely a part of it.. But on a global scale the wagon sales are decreasing as well..
Best car i ever had. Hope they will do a new one..
Look forward to your next video with the V90!
Thanks for the support 🙌
Volvo for Life

Oh... Sedan life 😂 Going strong there...but.. There's a strong overweight of wagons in Sweden yes. They love the V90 there
Both V60 and V90 were also discontinued in Denmark a few months ago. SUV's only from now on sadly.
Yeah.. Volvo are more and more a SUV brand.. But they sell what customers are asking for
Volvo needs Cross Country wagons in PHEV and BEV form. Why haven’t they done this?
Definitely 👌 Was some rumors some years ago that it got to expensive with a PHEV Cross Country version.. Would probably sell pretty good if they made it, but we're never gonna know
We love wagon
In the Netherlands Volvo discontinued the XC 40 PHEV. Now only the EV40 and the XC40 B3 and B4 are on sale.
Yeah got discontinued here as well some years ago. Since the full electric XC40 took over the sale
Probably if demand is high will bring them back like they did in the UK
Won't happen here. As you see from the numbers there's really no demand for them.
@@volvo_kristian too bad.... But what can you do, people have been brainwashed to buy SUV only....
@andikoo82 Yeah. Sadly.. Maybe it will change back in some years.. We have gotten several sweet wagons lately. With Audi A6 E-tron, BMW M3 Touring & i5 Turing, and also VW id7

I think they came back because police forces were ordering so many after BMW stopped supplying police cars in the UK.
Best car!!! ❤❤❤
Agreed 👍
In UK they got stopped 2023 ... But due to demand they are coming back 2025! 🎉
They've been back for 2 months!
It's just crazy how the government is killing the market with these insane taxes. So sad.
Various environmental protection restrictions and punitive environmental taxes. This is what Europeans want.
Where's the exhaust pipes?
Do you only buy 100% electricity now? Is it only what sells in Norway right now? Or is there some law that prohibits hybrids?
As I've mentioned in the video.

what ?1?1 You mean they will discontinue produce v60 and v90 ? WTF ? are they crazy ?
sad and stupid. amazing cars, disappearing around the world... i didnt mind SUVs before, but now, when they are killing wagons, im mad as F.
Yeah, I'm kinda getting in the same boat as you.. Love these wagons
Having this car (as next volvo and looks like my last one) in my garage, need to say "how dare you, norway, how dare you volvo" ?

This is sad volvo sucks.
It's not Volvo's fault.. There's no demand for wagons any more
@@volvo_kristian kinda don't agree, it's also Volvo's fault. How did that song go? If you build it, they will come
