Filter changing/cleaning can be determined by pressure drop across the filter. Do you provide this, or can I add a manometer?

Hi Mike, thank you for your comment. You are correct, there will be a pressure created by a blocked filter this could be measured with a manometer. That said, simply replacing/cleaning the filters every so often is more than adequate to maintain optimum performance of your machine. If you would like to discuss further with our Technical Support Team, please call 01246 571 020 and select option 2 or email technical@recordpower.co.uk. Best Wishes, Record Power.

Can you also hang it vertically against the wall? Instead of horizontal.

Hello, thank you for your comment. You can hang the AC400 vertically against a wall if this is suitable for your workspace, however, we do recommend that the machine is positioned in the upright position as shown in the manual, in order for the filters to work to their optimum capacity. Best Wishes, Record Power.

    Hello, I'm an Italian craftsman.
Three years ago I bought your Air Filter AC400.
For a few days the machine has been turned on, using the remote, you can select the three suction stages and also the suction time but the suction fan does not start.
    What should I do?
    Thank you and good day.

The video says you can perform all functions on the front panel, the same as the remote. But there doesn't seem to be a way to set the timer on the front panel, can you help please.

How would you suggest I work out when filters need replacing? You say it's defined by how long it's running , but is there anything I should be looking out for on the filter itself?

Hello, thank you for your comment. Changing the filter is not categorically defined by how long it’s running, its defined by the amount of particles of dust it picks up in the workshop, so a busy workshop with high volume of dust will collect in the filters much quicker. A visual inspection and condition of the filter is a suitable way of judging whether a replacement is required or not, obviously a clean filter runs more efficiently and you would change the outer filter more often which will save and preserve the condition of the inner. Best Wishes, Record Power.

Let's say I want to leave the machine running after I'm done in the shop for the day. Which option is more efficient; running the machine for 4 hours on the lowest setting or 1 hour on the highest setting?

Hi - thanks for your question. We recommend running the machine for 4 hours on a low setting, to allow more time for air to pass through the filters.
