Imagine you're hiking along a trail in the mountains and you're suddenly caught in a storm and you come across this cute little abode right on the trail and you get to sleep and cook in it overnight! What a little gem!
Yes, that's great
and maybe some sexy time before bed 🥳
I would be more like «So they are real?!», knock on the door and expect Frodo to open 😂
Me encantan todos los videos que pasan hermoso
@@usefuloverthinking4208 right 😂
My dream is to get lost in the forest and build a little house just like this and live there happily for the rest of my life. I love seeing videos like this. Thanks!
just do it
Same here and eventually start a small family and community
Same societies too confusing we should remake our own

I like that after the basic house structure was done on day 3 or so it was just a sequence of him making things he thinks seem convenient or nice looking; very hobbitlike. Spending a week to make a comfy outdoor breakfast nook to eat your homemade jam pastries is also a hobbit thing to do haha.
he is a hobbit.
😍
hello lesnoy watching you in the philippine i hope you are having a good time in your new build bushcraft solo and beautiful off grid living have a wonderful day good luck and god bless to your hard and simple off grid living thanks

The jam things is a traditional thing in Ukraine, they call them dumplings and the filling can be sweet or savory , more or less anything you fancy

The scenery is magnificent!!!! The dog is so adorable, and you are the kind of man who could put people at ease in any situation because of your building skills.

You are incredibly talented. It has been a pleasure watching every step of the way while you build this incredible home. I love the dog, he is so faithful. Thank you for taking us on this journey.
I always wanted to do a hobbit hole! Love this build! You’ve inspired me more to try and build one myself. Thanks for sharing friend!
This was a masterpiece in every way. The filmaking, the house building, cooking, everything. The beauty of the land is stunning. There could be no better way to spend two weeks. Thank you for sharing it with us.

What the hell is he cooking??
I like the video a lot but the filmmaking being good? Hell no it is not good. Jump cuts, out of focus shots, sped up portions randomly... That's just to name a few.

Adorable! I'd love to rent one of these to camp out in. We bring our own sleeping furs and archaic artifacts and cookware and a little tea...and mead....and they'd be delightful! The Viking equivalent of "a little paint, a few throw pillows..."
Thank you so much for sharing this incredible Hobbit house. I was fascinated. You are incredible, such a well of knowledge to the woods, the land and what all it can provide....and teach us. Your relationship, love for your dog, heartwarming. Seems those souls I'm friends with who enjoy being outdoors as much as myself, we have a love for our dog companions. Hope you will continue. I have no doubt you will one day build your permanent home. Blessings on your journey 🐦🪶🌷
I’ve seen several of your videos so far, and I have to say you got skills! Not only in building dwellings from locally sourced materials, from logs, to rocks… but even so far as to make meals that I would dare anyone to turn their nose up at. I’d spend any amount of time with you, doing the things you do, because it would be an experience I would never forget! Would have to make room for two! ❤️❤️
The whole thing is amazing, but my favorite bit is around 15:30 when he installs the front door and smiles. It's rare to see people smiling at their work in videos like this. :)
For wintertime you could doub the walls with the claymixture that you used for the fireplace and then cover with white "paint", maybe something like chalk. White really reflects heat and light so the hobbithole would be warmer and more light without having more lights on when door is closed for heath preservation. Greetings from the Netherlands!
AND, if you built this with stone floors, in the summers in Southern US - it would be nice in cool when it's hot and humid outside!!! (Can't build the fire inside then, but...) - Also, cool way to preserve your matches, dude!!!
He did not use clay. That was simple dirt and secret but very important ingredient.
@@Marine5D I thought I saw some fiber structure to the mud but he left that out, maybe in another video.
@@juggernautz Since he clearly did not use clay which is by itself a binding material you have to ask yourself what did he used to bind and harden that mixture together? Simply from the color of the mixture i can tell that he used some amount of cement and i think it's fine but he could have disclosed that. I wouldn't judge. In old days people used clay to build fireplaces and earlier they build burning altars or simple bonfire in the middle of dwellings.
@@Marine5D Look at the video starting at 8 to 8:24 minutes to see what color the dirt is in the area. I'm not sure where this video was filmed but pure clay minerals do exist in light colors and some are a beige color, depends on the country and region. Sandy Loam has a lighter color. If he mixed cement then ask him via email on his page. click on his name, then About to see email link. Could he add limestone and sand to get a cement like strength, sure but its worth knowing since he's teaching with silent videos.
I like how he went out into the forest and picked up flat, neatly finished trim board for roofing, the fascia and some finish elements. Pretty convenient to have a Hobbit Home Depot nearby.
Still u hafta admire his hard work
I figure he had a chainsaw mill nearby, considering the live, uneven, edge on those boards.
Most of it looked like tailings from a logging mill. Never know what you might find in the forest
This guy is awesome. He did a lot great things, his craftman skill is adorable. Well done.
Don't forget to send him a direct message on here. Hahaha! hilarious. Don't be afraid to say things of what you are holding in, okay.
@@Sksk27547 .... What?
hmmm, i didn't see any surperior work. every craftman could do it likewise
First channel I've watched where the bark was removed from the logs that were placed in dirt. Is there a logical reason to skin them?
Delightful to watch the building and evolution of this cozy abode! You have amazing skills both as a wood worker and a content creator!
yeah, that dog has one well trained human. he should be proud.

Can't believe I manage to watch an hour long video from the very first second to last without skipping and still wanting more.
Too goooood,, the skill, the dog, the food, the music, the aesthetics, the vibe and the slice of life everything was so perfectly done. Thank you for this great video ☺️☺️
Exactly how I felt.
IKR? I rarely watch a video this long but this was worth every second.
I was glued to this film from the first minute.
I curious as to how it’s held up over time! It looks cozy, and that fireplace would definitely keep things cozy.
According to the video, it's been 6 months so far. But, it could be more than 15 years.
If you take care of the place and keep it dry, youll have it for a long time, just dont forget to make drainages.

Very creative. Something this world really needs badly right now. Great job!
Sure, just make sure there is a black hobbit coming out of the building , to remind you that black folks actually exist.
I have seen American " historical channels" who pretend to live like they used to in 1800s and there are no blacks in those videos. So I know how much people like to live in a fantasy land. You must constantly be reminded that blacks actually exist in the USA
Thank you. It’s what my soul needed today. May God keep you safe over in Europe.
It's amazing what you can create out common things in nature, with some imagination and creativity! I love this stuff! NZ. 😁
"In a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell. Nor yet, a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit on or to eat. It was a hobbit hole, and that means comfort."
Nice try, though. And definitely a good sturdy shelter. It gets a thumbs up from me. In 1972 a friend and I were snowmobiling up the Chena river in Alaska one winter and came across a fellow who had a hunting camp set up a lot like this one. The door was normal instead of round was about the only difference. My friend and I built something similar at our favorite fishing/camping spot. Not as tidy and we were constantly having to make repairs, but we were only 12.
This is the kind of man I want ! Someone who can build, hunt and fish ! No model, actress or singer, although Someone with a nice voice would be nice also lol. This is the kind of man I love. No questions asked if he could take care of his family
This is beauty in it's purest, most raw form! I love it! Can't go wrong here, thank you for sharing this with us, it's a blessing and a joy and you are as well! May you all stay this way for ever more!
"most raw form" then what is it's fried form.

I agree and honestly. You don't need any music at all. I enjoy watching these camping/bushcraft videos with just the natural sounds.
@@chugg13 I agree with you. No "canned" music. But it would also have been helpful if he spoke to the camera. He could provide his own narrative, "Now I'm going to make an outdoor fire place." "Now I'm going to build a fence." "Now I'm going to build an outdoor latrine." etc.
@@user-qr2gd7me6c I kind of like no talking. A title or short description across the screen would work well.

So much love, so much hard work, so much patience in detailing your built. Thank you.
A true craftsman. I hope your hideaway is secluded on your own private land away from squatters. You might end up finding your place discovered and have to fight for it. Let’s hope that never happens. So much work and love was put into this project. I love that indoor fireplace.
nice editing bro I really appreciated that sound of thunder and of course you inspire me to do something like this in the woods where I live
Really nice work👍. Wow, your parents did a great job raising you.
One of very few videos I hated to see end. Loved how you transformed the side of a hill. it looked great!!
I am astounded by his cleanliness. When I work in the woods (definitely not making things quite so amazing!) I tend to look filthy. Every shot of his hands is clean. Working with an open fire, I'm covered with soot in minutes! Mad skills...
Such a sweet & peaceful hour. Loved watching everything. Every time you'd saw or chop wood, I could actually smell it...just as I could the wood-smoke from the fires. I loved seeing you prepare your meals and really loved watching your beautiful fur baby chase it's tail and drink water from the bowl you crafted. This has been one of the only videos, of this kind, that I was excited to watch beginning to end. Actually, I was a bit sad to see it end. My day had been a bit stressful...until I spent an hour with you and your pup at the hobbit house. ❤️🐾❤️
