EST/Kidde is the worst brand of fire alarm equipment. Notifier is a nice brand if you want something reliable and within reason. However, they need to improve their QC with the detectors but, at least they did the right thing with defective L series low frequency sounders.
My favorite fire drill sound is a slow whoop tone followed by being told that there is a fire reported in the building and not to use the elevators by a prerecorded voice
do you have a link to where I could get the emergency light that is on the bottom floor of your house? I know you said it's not great, but I really like how it looks. I tried looking online and couldn't find that one.
Congrats once again Nic on yet another school upgrade well done. Love those T-bar stations.
Thank you
It feels like Honeywell is just slowly becoming EST with these quality issues. I hope they start fixing things soon.
facts, sometimes EST is just gives up and makes crappy things, then they fix them but like it takes them forever to do it. Womp womp moment
@@sterlinggarcia9859 Can't go wrong with a Siemens FACP and Wheelock notification appliances.
HEY NICK i made in diy intercom ill record it on satdurday i hsve school wrk to do

Just had a fire drill at school on Tuesday…. Went well… they told the teachers this time but next time it’ll be a total surprise
May I ask how you are able to install those same smoke detectors everywhere and how you don't run out? I'm just curious
You order enough for the job and then some extra for faulty units?
Lets go Nic's out with another new video 🤩😊
Nice video 😊
I'm so excited to be able to watch the app on iPad and iPad to play with iPad and iPhone app but the best
System Sensor needs to fix their problems with the 365 style detectors it’s getting ridiculous at this point
(Honeywell quality control moment)
Yeah things are going downhill for sure
@@nics-systems-electric yeah not as bad as Simplex or Edwards system, unfortunately.
Honeywell is not good at making smoke detectors. They should stick with alarms.
@@That_2_guy2T it's system sensor that makes the alarms which are now bought by Honeywell
@@nics-systems-electric yeah
My high school has a gym that size and it has 32 detectors in its new system which I think is too much
This gives me enough reason to watch the video.
Great video keep up the good work 👍
Very cool!
so why does it give 4 beeps when you trip the station? is that to identify it was a pull station? Do smokes have a different number of initial beeps?
Synchronization takes a bit that's normal for it to do four five or six pulses
why does it do 4 "chirps" on activation then switch to 3?
Takes a few seconds for synchronization to start working
@@nics-systems-electricmy schools system does 6 chirps. Have you ever seen that?
@@Harper_DobniYT never really counted definitely heard four or five
advances do continuous for a couple seconds for synchronization than does code 3/temporal tone.
What is the difference between an idnet versus mapnet?
You'd be better to ask someone that knows about simplex. mapnet is older though I know that
It is a new month you need to do your monthly testing
Already did it but it is only my choice I don't need to
How come sometimes it does 4 rings instead of 3?
The synchronization takes a few seconds to work
Nice work dude I'm having fire drills soon I'll film it when I'm also outside. Keep up the good work bud.
Fire drill sound, it sounds too old from the the 1980s and 1990s. I don’t like fire drill sounds that sound like that
the sound is from 2007…. and it’s what gets attention the best so get used to it
My favorite fire drill sound is a slow whoop tone followed by being told that there is a fire reported in the building and not to use the elevators by a prerecorded voice
Hey Nick, how was your 2024 going?
He’s back with another great video like normal
Its a great series! Keep up the good work!

I love this channel

It came from Amazon however I don't recommend it's overpriced and not good quality get Lithonia or something name brand
@@nics-systems-electric Do you have a link to it though?
@@wibwabz nope
So when you put in the house fire alarm stuff what app do you get the fire alarms?
I'm not sure what you mean
@@nics-systems-electricI'm assuming he means what do you use on your phone for when your house system goes off? How do you get notified?
@@bjthedjdutchdude1992 if that's the case, I've got videos on both systems of how that works
@@nics-systems-electric I watch them. I know one way is that you get email pop ups whenever there is an activation.
@@nics-systems-electriche means what website do you buy your alarms?
