Canada right now is going through huge economic chrisis. There are very few professional jobs that actually pay decent money out there. I used to be international student. I'm going to be honest, choose programs either in STEM area, medical area or study for jobs such as welder, plumber ect...The best are government, city jobs that are under government, but there very hard to get. Canada has a small economy, and there is huge competition for good government or professional jobs. Usually colleges here don't necessarily translate to actually getting a job in what you studied. That's why you see Canadian kids on their second or third college by the time they turn 26. As Ada said, you really need to plan this very serious.
Hi Ada, thank you so much for giving us educative content. I studied biochemistry and would be coming to Canada next year fall to study MSc Pharmacy/pharmaceutical science. Is it a lucrative career?
You can, but the issue is working as a licensed pharmacist requires you to go to pharmacy school for Pharm D, taking license exams and some clinical rotations. I don’t know if you’ll be able to become licensed with an MSc in Pharmaceutical Science. You’ll have to do some more research on it.
With the new changes in place, whar are the provinces, programs and courses advisable to study as an international study with a business or accounting background?
Hi ada, I love your videos Please I was looking into a Masters program and it's a 16month consecutive program (no breaks) how many years pgwp do you think that will give?.....thank you for your response
Hello I heard that if you study a course that is not related to your program you study back at home can affect your chance of getting a PR. I have a Bsc in zoology,I will like to do my Msc in either biochemistry, biotechnology or bioinformatics or microbiology I don't know if this will affect my chances of getting my PR if I study those courses
hello! I'm planning to do higher education and get PR in the end as well. I have 4-year bachelor's in computer science right now. But planning to do culinary management. is chef job demand in Canada? and can I get a job related to my bachelor's from my country using my portfolio, is that possible(just in case)????
You can get a job with your bachelor’s degree. I would suggest starting your chef job as a side hustle, for example making videos of you preparing your meals or cooking as a private chef so that you can build your momentum as a newcomer before working full time as a chef. I’m not sure what the demand is like for culinary and if you’ll be able to fully support yourself as an immigrant by being a chef
Every situation is not the same..Not all programs are two years, secondly, not everyone can afford a two year program. Many masters degree are for one year, people still get PGWP. There is too much emphasis on two year programs. I see people opting for two year programs and they are struggling to pay tuition just because of 3 year PGWP.
The 3 year pgwp gives you maximum time to apply for and get a PR which will happen before the work permit expires. That is why it is highly desired by international students. I never said that you can’t get PR with a 1 year masters program. Like I said, you can get a work permit with a 1 year program but there is no guarantee that it will be a 3 year pgwp and if you wish to stay back in Canada, getting a 3 year PGWP is your best option. If you get a 1 year or 2 year PGWP, you will struggle and race against time between searching for jobs under NOC 0, A or B, getting an actual job that you can use for PR and then applying for the PR itself and waiting for processing time. If you have a 1 year or 2 year PGWP and it expires while your PR application is in process, your job will be jeopardized by an expired status. I stand by what I’ve said because I’m talking from experience. You’ll be surprised how time flies with your PGWP

I have a degree in forestry but looking at the workforce needed in canada, foresters are not really needed. Please what should I do? Or can I come in with a diploma program with any program that’s needed most in canada?
i need your answer on this please, I have just received an admission letter from Memorial University of New Found Land for fall 2024,(Masters) lectures start 4th January . Now can i go on with the visa application or to defer the admission to May (spring) due to the time limit and immigration process and decision? kindly reply me please Ada.
Do you mean Winter 2024? If you are to start classes in January 2024, that means you were offered admission for Winter 2024 intake. I don’t know how long it will take to process a study permit from where you are, but to be on the safe side considering we are already approaching December, I will suggest you defer your admission to Spring 2024 (May) or Fall 2024 (September) to give you enough time for study permit processing

Hi Ada, thanks for this informative video I studied Radiography (Medical Technologist) back in school and have been practicing as a Medical Sonographer for the past 4years now For a Master's program which do you think is best-considering job opportunities and future prospects in Canada, Masters Health informatics or Masters in Medical imaging. Also, with a Masters program of 18month i.e 1 year 6months (Is one eligible for 3 years PGWP) ? Thanks
You can choose Health Informatics, because I’m not sure if schools offer medical imaging at masters level. If they do and it’s really what you want, then go for it. Yes, you can still be eligible for a 3 year PGWP having done an 18 month masters program

What of a 1 year post graduate certificates in Project management and another 1 year in construction project management
Bro we have the same course in mind, I’m thinking construction project management itself, and from research, it’s a 1 year program
If you can do both of them back to back/one after the other, that’s good. You can still get a work permit and PR after
