- This is a comparison video showing two of my most recent red lipstick purchases from Sephora from Rihanna's Fenty Beauty and GXVE by Gwen Stefani. I am forever a fan of universal matte liquid lipsticks that are red, and seeing as both of these powerhouse women have a strong beauty game, I figured their reds must be really good - and they are.

I think Gwen totally nailed it on the lipsticks. I like Fenty, but I love GXVE so much more. Doesn’t dry lips, doesn’t get crumbly, liquid lip doesn’t bleed or smudge. It’s the most universal red I’ve ever seen.

I have yet to buy anything but the liquid lipstick, so I’d love to hear what your top 2 favorite other products were from the line! Which ones are must haves??
@@JennySueMakeup her facial oil blew me away, it’s a great primer and it’s not greasy. I also love her gel liner In bath water (metallic blue). Her eyeshadows are super easy to blend and pigmented. A little powdery, which doesn’t bother me at all. But I’d recommend the eyeliner and facial oil. I’m impressed by every product she put out. My least fave is the micro eyebrow pencil. Didn’t dislike it, just the least exciting for me.

I only came across your You Tube channel today because I was looking for a nice red lipstick 💄and I was hesitating between Fenty and Gvxe and although I normally don't often wear lipstick and now that I have seen so many colors in both brands, I now became greedy🤭😇 because both have so many beautiful colors. 💞❤️🩷🧡❣️❤️🔥
I will order some from both brands, but I will order the original red💄👄 from Gvxe in the form that does not stain.

Thank you for not using a lipliner with this review. Sometimes reviewers use a lipliner to the point where it covers the entire lip and I feel like we don't get an accurate rep of the product. Enjoyed your review!
I’m SO glad this small detail made an impact on you because I feel the EXACT same way!!!! I wanted to badly use a liner but knew it would manipulate both products to The point where you really don’t get a 100% feel of the product itself. Thank you for noticing 👍🏼

Great comparison! Uncensored is my holy grail red lipstick out of my red collection. I still plan to add Gwen’s to my collection. Btw, Fenty’s full size lip stunna comes with the same applicator that is helpful with application. Subbed & enjoyed you & your hubs talking about this.

It's GIVE she said on an interview.... because she feels Makeup is a giving thing she's Giving it to you! And yes I think it's Rihanna more with a Hanna sound because if she ever says her name in songs and so forth she pronounces like that . Good review though thanks💄💋👍

Just got Gwen’s trio with OG Recipe shade in three formulas. I purchased Rihanna’s last December. Rihanna shade looks orangey on me and iffy… I really like Gwen’s shade better.

I like her matte one for work right now. It’s the only one I’ve tried wearing to work so far. The shine I’m not sure if I’ll really wear much because it’ll transfer a lot and I don’t like wearing stuff that transfers a lot since it makes me not want to drink water throughout the day. I will try the liquid lipstick one during the weekend and see how it feels and wears. I thought that one would be too bold or too much for work. I don’t know why.

Thank YOU for agreeing with me! I saw an Inside Edition interview with her from years ago and she HERSELF pronounced it the way I did!
I thought Gwen’s was gonna be the pick here given it dried faster, you get more product for less cost and it didn’t transfer as much at all haha. Seemed to beat Rihanna’s in the quality department but guess it comes down to what “color” was preferred over everything else since the scent wasn’t an issue here either.
It’d be cool to see you try the bullet version of Gwen’s red and see how it compares to the liquid too in terms of quality and color

I put lip balm under the liquid lipstick & it works better but only one coat

Wrong pronunciation. When in doubt call her RiRi. Coloring and lip shape makes a difference on how any lipstick looks on anyone.
Rihanna's is much better. I always seen other lipstick shade saying "universal," but it only flatter lighter skins. Rihanna nailed it, and plus, I love that she includes diversity in her brand, so she wins!!!
Rumor on TikTok is that Taylor Swift is using Pat McGrath red lip lately, would love to see a review, but it’s so pricey! 🫣
And Adele is rumored to use Pat’s eyeliner, too, for her stunning looks. (Pun somewhat intended 👀😉)
