It was a smart move. It put both Kass and Tasha in powerful positions and flipped the power dynamic. If they take out J'Tia they both are likely are on the chopping block Garrett/Spencer the next vote.
I now realize the reason for this vote. It was nothing but advantageous for Kass and somewhat helpful for Tasha. Kass knew that after J'Tia left, she'd be on the bottom and the next one to go if they ever lost again. Spencer and Garrett partnered up and were a brain and brawn threat, and although she didn't know it, Garrett having an idol just cements the fact that him and Spencer would basically run the tribe. Tasha had a bond with J'Tia, so getting rid of her would have been losing her only true ally at the time before Spencer. This vote was disastrous for them as a team, but it ultimately propelled all of them far into the game after the merge. If Kass hadn't flipped on them later on, they probably could have made it to the final 3 together.
Lessons learned so far in Cagayan: 1. Don't play Survivor like it's a baseball season 2. Don't play Survivor like it's a poker tournament Plus, Garrett was the most infuriating combination of paranoid and grossly overconfident.
But that same combination is why Tony won. It’s how to channel it. Garrett was just a dumbass who doesn’t know how to play strategy, ironically enough.
I agree that having that open forum thing was stupid. But are you kidding me? You seriously think garret is worse than J’Tia? Every single thing about her pisses me off. At least garret had a physical aspect that could be proved helpful. Jtia is just absolute garbage at everything.
Exactly. I get that garret should have just shut his mouth and played the game, but that’s in no way worse than jtia. She just sucks at everything, is cocky (not confident. Confidence has something to back it up but jtia is probably the dumbest one in the entire game tbh), etc. I’m amazed that they voted Garrett out. His physical strength could have proved useful.
