I'm a southern man that moved to the North many years ago. I love southern food with a passion. Most women here in the North don't care for southern food. Especially pinto beans and great northern beans. It hard to find a woman that will cook them or let me cook them, lol. Once in a great while I get cook myself a mess of pinto beans with pork bacon frayed on the side and corn bread. I think you are an amazing lady. Your husband is a very lucky man. Hi Gina.....I love white beans...I usually cook white beans every Monday.* I love mine with ham, but my family prefers them with smoke sausage. I didn’t have any ham one day and it was pouring outside so I just threw some sausage in and from then on, they only eat them with sausage. Don’t get me wrong, they’re good with sausage too. And we also add a lil bit of syrup in our bowl of beans, sometimes a lil mustard, and always with cornbread on the side. I’m in Louisiana, so cornbread is a staple around here. Wow Gina!! I made this today ... You can not say enough good things about this!! It's more than awesome. I found a pan on Amazon pretty much just like this one. I soaked my beans last night and then pan came today! Girl I ordered a 13 qt!! It's so big and just right too. I had so much fun and gave half to my daughter. She said OMGOSH these are so good and they smell good. I told her Gina said "You better make you some" !!! So much fun!! I will be using this pan so often. Thank you for another great recipe!!
