    Hi, Absolutely. It works with any fabric that can be ironed over, such as sweatshirts, hoodies, t-shirts... even pillowcases, table cloth etc. Just make sure to read the label on the back to ensure it can be ironed. Fabrics can be Cotton, Viscose, Polyester, Silk etc Thanks for the comment!

    Using a layer in between might seem to help in transferring the image at first, however it will likely be a very weak transfer. It will come off easily and won't survive even one wash. Transfer works well when you apply the precise required amount of heat for the required duration. The heat / duration ensures that the ink is released from the carrier and embedded into the fabric. Try and source a different material to use. I hope this helps a bit. Thanks for the comment.

    @TheLolhackerz Yes. Any Inkjet printer with normal ink will work. If you plan to print and transfer text then the printer should have the settings of mirror / back / reverse mode. Not needed if you plan to print and transfer only an image.

  • @photopaperdirect
    @photopaperdirect  13 років тому +1

    @guns511 Hi, On the printer setting you have an option to print in mirror mode or to print on 'transfer paper' setting which will print in mirroring mode by default. How quickly fading happens will depend on the following.
    1. The transfer has to be done with the correct heat and the correct pressure
    2. Using pigment inks rather than dye will increase the longevity of the print
    3. Avoid using bleaching or washing powder which contains high amounts of bleaching
    15 to 20 washes in total. Thx!

    Hi,
    The transfer is very durable provided the transfer was done correctly (enough time + heat). As well, you can simply turn the garment outside in when washing so the image does not come into contact with the machine. You can transfer to a wide range of fabrics provided the fabric / item (a hat in this case) can withstand the heat from the iron. Thanks!

    @divineaxel Hi, the paper also comes in A3 size (double A4 in size), however you will need an A3 printer which most people do not have. If you do not have one, you can always buy the A3 sheet and ask your local printing house to print the A3 sheet for you. Any Inkjet printer and any Ink will do, so they will likely be able to help you. I hope this helps.

  • @photopaperdirect
    @photopaperdirect  13 років тому

    @Skippy143c No, no need to wait, but there's no rush either. In fact, you can apply the silicon paper again every couple of months in case the image had faded slightly to bring its freshness back. Look at our last video 'How To Wash and Maintain T Shirt Transfer Paper ' from 2.17min for more information.

    @Skippy143c When deglossing with normal paper, it is vital that the paper is really hot before peeling and that peeling is done immediately when the iron is removed. If it is stuck, you can reheat it (being careful about not ironing the exposed image). It is easier if you stretch the image a little before peeling. It is also possible to protect the image with silicon when ironing for the purpose of removing stuck paper. I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment!

    @aldoguzman97 Thanks for the comment. The light transfer paper leaves a thin ALMOST transparent light layer around the complete transfer. On light fabrics it is invisible, however on dark fabrics you may see it. With the dark transfer paper what you see is what you get and it does not leave this fine light layer hence designed for dark fabrics (slightly more expensive paper). We have a video on this channel on dark transfer paper where we explain in more detail about the differences. Thanks!
