A continuous pleasure to watch... Thank you for making the time and videos! You do very well at these garage sales - the only things I ever find are reasons to revisit the local dump.
Hi Bob. So much stuff for cheap at this one, but I had most of it already - eg nice Makita power planer for $5, trolley jacks for the same, various home use cordless drills with batteries for the same. I'm sure someone gave them a home :) It's all the luck of the draw. Cheers Rob
Hi Ben. Good garage sales are usually interesting, but don't happen all that often. I was tempted to film it as there was a lot of other stuff that was worthy of a look, but was pressed for time. Cheers Rob
Hi Wayne. Yes, there was so much cheap cheap stuff (workshop related) there it was a shame I already had most of it. The vac was a timely bargain as the Bro Inlaw was looking around to buy one. Just lucky I guess. Most garage sales are pretty crappy these days, but occasionally a good one pops up. Cheers Rob
Ha Ha. I have a Westinghouse fan same as the blue Elcon that is as old as me, been in the family forever and still used every summer. These are now collectable and go for $120 - 150 AU.
Some amazing finds there Rob. I wish I could find an oil can that doesn't leak like a sieve. I've never seen a garage sale here. Would love to go to one. Would love that chain saw. Have to remove some tree branches in our back garden. Cheers Nobby
Hi Nobby. Garage sales are quite prolific in Oz. Went very quiet while the pandemic was on, but now getting back into the swing of things. Those small electric chainsaws are quite powerful. I already have a couple of them I paid $20 each for, quite cheap from garage sales. Cheers Rob
Hi Bill. Yes, so do I. All collectable. Even these two from the 40 - 50's bring $100 + each on Ebay when cleaned up and running. I have a couple of brass blade Marelli fans that really look the business. You need to check the electrics closely on this stuff before use. Some of the really old type writers also look cool. As the oldies peg out, this stuff comes to the surface when the family clear out the contents of the long neglected shed/workshop. This guy also had some mint Golden Fleece 1 pint rectangular oil cans which went for $465 the pair to a dealer (who will easily double his money). The trouble is that you have to be prepared to wait and deal with the public to get a decent price on re-sell. I can't be bothered doing it. It's amazing what people collect ;) Cheers Rob
Bargain, garage sales are something you just don't see over here, but on the other hand, there are a lot of markets all over the place where people flog stuff they have somehow come by. 👍

Mum had one of those fans when I was a kid, free tip, don't try to stop the fan with your finger while it is spinning.
