- Seremban is the capital state of Negeri Sembilan, in the south of Kuala Lumpur. To reach there by train it will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Kuala Lumpur.
This area is a charming and quiet part of the old town where the train station is still located here. It can be fully explored in two days as both sides of the streets are flanked by old shophouses that are worth checking out. Due to the hot tropical climate of Malaya it is advisable to break the explorations into morning and afternoon avoiding the mid day sun.
In the afternoon, this area is very quiet which is very common in almost all the towns of Malaysia. Most of the shops will be closed but it’s possible to get some food to eat in the Chinese restaurants, kopitiam or Indian eateries. In the morning, the best place to eat breakfast will be the Central Market as there are many cheap and delicious Chinese food to savour.
Little India is also located in this area and loud Tamil music can be heard injecting life to this quiet town. There will be shops selling Indian clothings, hardwares, spices, vegetables, daily necessities, etc. A Hindu temple and Sikh temple are situated nearby. Chinese temples, churches and mosques can also be found in the old town as Malaysia is a multi racial country. Surprisingly, there is a hill used by the Chinese as a cemetery that I discovered while finding some food to eat.
Some stately colonial buildings are located near the Lake Gardens as the latter served as a green lung for the locals to relax and exercise in the morning and early evening. I will definitely return to Seremban since it's only an hour and fifteenth minutes of train ride from the capital, Kuala Lumpur.
I was a piano teacher in quaint Seremban town from 1965 - 1967 and this video brings back some happy memories. I have been back to Seremban three times since then and much of it remains the same. I remember the station and the lovely lake gardens. The only unpleasant sight is the uncared for dogs still looking for food.
Seremban remains the same as before. Not much changes and i'm glad it's off the main international tourist's radars. The streets and old shophouses exude an old world charm.
Really proud with my town. I was born here. Lived near to KTMB old quarters near to Terminal 1. Today, my family live in Paroi. I still come to Seremban to unearth the glory day of Seremban before the independence day. I hope I can publish the book about the history of Seremban.
I’m from Singapore and I like the laid back atmosphere of small towns. Hope to see you published a coffee table book cum history about the charms of Seremban.
I left Seremban in April 1992....
I'm planning to come back soon, after watching this video...🌹😎
Glad you are returning to Seremban after watching my video (part 1). There is also part 2 of Seremban. Just curious, are you in overseas or in other parts of Malaysia?

@@razudinhamzah5789 I’m a Singaporean but my mum was born in Ipoh but grew up in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. As such we tend to travel a lot to different parts of Malaysia when I was young. I visited Seremban during my primary school days and been here only a couple of times. My last trip in Seremban I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, really enjoyed exploring the old town as it is very quaint and peaceful with lots of great food near the big market. Hopefully the pandemic will end faster then I can return to Malaysia Jalan Jalan. Cheras is KL right?

Bandar Setaraf Seremban

2.Kota Bharu.Kelantan
3.Kuantan.Pahang
4.Alor Setar.Kedah
Mohamad Azrin aku org seremban..kuantan maju gila kot. Seremban masih ketinggalan
There was an old fountain at the playground of lake gardens. Now A&W. Does anyone know where is it now? It had fish sculputers all around the fountain, sprouting water through the fish mouth.
@@sempoi7399 bandar Seremban memang dikekalkn identiti classic(Main gomen administration). Pembangunan meriah di Senawang(property n industry) Seremban 2 ( properties n Admintration). Paroi kompleks Sukan..Nilai pun di dalam daerah Seremban.
