- Baroness Shami Chakrabarti has attacked the strategy of Number 10, saying it is "thoroughly irresponsible to behave like the Joker in The Dark Knight and go for chaos theory".
She says there are people in Downing Street who "literally believe in causing fear, chaos and polarisation on the streets in order to get their way and get their no-deal Brexit".

She has no problem with conservatives having a manifesto saying we leave with no deal. The only thing is though people must not get this choice before the 31st of October. The reason for this is because if we have a GE on the 15th this will give them very little time to overturn it before the 31st so we would leave. If though they delay until January then we have a GE in early November this will then give them 2 months to once again overturn the result. 50 million people could vote for no deal, but it makes no difference. These politicians will never accept it and only do what they want.

Chakrabarti and co had a chance to sort all this out in the last three years, but same old story, drag it out until it goes away.
Reading the comments here makes me realise, how uninformed we are on the consequences of No Deal. It's got to the point where I almost welcome a 'no deal Brexit', so when the British economy is swirling around the plughole and the country is in chaos people will finally understand they were totally duped from the get go and unite behind one banner, instead of this endless bickering.

They are lying to us again. Boris has never said he will break the Law, what he has said is that he will not go to Brussels to negotiate an extension if Parliament so orders. There are many ways this ill thought Bill can be overcome, the most obvious is that he resigned the day before he is meant to go, cap in hand to the EU and allows his deputy to take over until a new election for leader is called.
In an attempt to embarrass Boris, they have allowed their venom to take control of their brains, the Bill names Boris, not the government or the PM, just Boris. If Boris is not PM he cannot serve any purpose going to the EU as he will only be a simple back bencher with no power to negotiate with the EU. I am just a simple voter but I’m sure Boris and co will have other ways to see this bill com veto nothing.

Hillary Clinton was funded by various corporate interests and considered utterly corrupt. Jeremy corbyn has fought against any such influence for years and wants corporations to pay their fair share of tax. He is the least corrupt person in parliament. During the expenses scandal when various mps were flipping houses, buying duck Islands and getting their moats cleaned on tax payer expenses, he spent less than a fiver on an ink cartridge for his constituency office. The 2 are polar opposites.
Boris Johnson on the other hand has been fired from multiple jobs for lying, cheated on his wife repeatedly, was on record lying multiple times during the referendum, has made multiple racist statements in print and live interviews, told bankers how supportive he was of them after the 2008 crash and once conspired to have a colleague assaulted. Very honorable and trustworthy man there.
