First 100 Years: Baroness Chakrabarti Biography

Baroness Chakrabarti was the Director of Liberty from 2003 to 2016.
In August 2016, Chakrabarti was made a life peer and was appointed Shadow Attorney General for England and Wales in October 2016.
After studying Law at the London School of Economics, Chakrabarti was called to the Bar by Middle Temple in 1994. In 1996, she started working as a barrister for the Home Office.
