My dude you went too fast for my musically illiterate brain to follow some parts but this video gave me so many ideas and most of all it was fascinating to watch and see the track evolve. The finished song was amazing and it was so cool to see how you stitched all the elements together and then see it all play as one.
Great tutorial, but this trend of cut and paste Afrohouse rexmies is killing the genre so quickly. I fell in love with Afrohouse a couple of years ago when I heard some of Shimza & Nitefreak's work and had high hopes for it's growth but it's devolved into just every single song sounding like this.
@@dariusblake7339Oh no I used to love Afrohouse before it blew up this year and suddenly became insanely formulaic, it was a better genre when it was mostly being produced in Africa, now us Europeans have turned it into this formulaic cookie cutter crap. I’m normally very proud of European EDM but we really dropped the ball with this one!
Where/how and how long did it take you to do your training in remixing?? What skills did you learn to get this good at it? I studied piano and music theory for over a decade so I have a good foundation but I want to learn how and what you learned! Did you go to school for this or learn as you went? Who taught you? Thanks for a great informative vid
Love this tutorial - can you please tell the basics about copyright. What can I release on Soundcloud, and how to start collaborating with largers artists? Thanks in advance!
I read a trick for soundcloud copyright posting, if you add 30 seconds of dead air at the beginning of the uploaded track you can trick the algorithm and get away with it. I remixed a track by NF which when first uploaded was taken down immediately. I then added the dead air and its been on soundcloud now for 2 years and counting. Now saying that, I uploaded a Dua Lipa track without the dead air trick and its been on for 4 years with no issue. Third, I uploaded a Weeknd remix and immediately was taken down, tried the 30 second trick and still got removed, so, from my experience, i feel it depends on the artist maybe? the bigger they are the faster its flagged? I dunno, cuz dua is pretty big too, oh, if you try the 30 second trick, and offer download option, use the file without the dead air for the download lol, nobody wants to download dead air. Not sure if any of this helps, but had to share my experiences, good luck
If you don't have permission to use copyrighted material, it's important to be cautious to avoid any legal issues. Here are a few options you can consider to get started: Public Domain and Creative Commons: Use music and samples that are in the public domain or have a Creative Commons license. These are free to use under certain conditions. Original Content: Create and release your own original tracks and mixes. This way, you own the rights to the content. Royalty-Free Music: Purchase or download royalty-free music from websites that offer such tracks for DJs and remixers. Collaborations: Work with other artists and obtain permission to use their music in your mixes and remixes. DJ Pools: Join DJ pools that provide licensed music tracks specifically for DJs to use in their mixes. Hope it helps 🙂
It's great if you select all the separated stem wave forms and select and putting them in time that'll put everything synced with BPM at once, just mute all stem files except leaving drum un-muted because you have it listen it while placing at new time, just select all and place them in time with you BPM - you don't need to put in time each stem files separately, every stem files will be at right time through out the whole song work ;)
great video man , let me share this powerful AI tool wit y'all , I use fadr / stems , can separate up to 14 instruments ,and extract them as midi , finds the project key + tempo and real time chord progression ,so already know what u working with -without running any DAW and its free , chordify might be better for armatures tho ") happy remixing
Superb tutorial! Love your walkthrough projects. Please make another full one, A Future House Remix maybe. But a full one, like Second drop, how to add varieties PLEASEEEE
Does anybody know which bass he's using? The "Savana Bass 04" sounds a little different. Is the "Serum Thing" the reason? Im new to this stuff and want to learn from the vids. Thanks!
Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. Neo: What truth? Spoon boy: There is no spoon. Neo: There is no spoon? Spoon boy: Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.
My #1 Tip for making remixes: You have to listen to the original track (original version). Because if you don't, you will never know what genre you are making the remix.
I was in search for a tutorial this quality my whole life 🔥. Great video!
I hope you are not too old, then. 😂

Well the “tiktokifying” of music is something I believe most popular genres go through in this day and age
Yeah I love the African producers Keinemusik. Stop whining guys it doesn’t matter who produces it as long as it’s really good it will stay memorable
