The one thing I might add is that it's helpful to have the blades and the stern facing towards the back of the vehicle or trailer to accommodate the slip stream
Great video. Clear instructions and demonstration. How far apart are your roof rack bars? I have Thule bars 30” apart on a Honda Fit. Is transporting a 1x possible on a compact car? Do you tie down the bow and stern to your fenders with ropes, for added security? Thanks!
Hi - sorry for a slow reply I don’t check this much but I’m glad this video has helped people. I no longer have this car so I don’t really know the answer. A lot of these roof racks only fit at an exact spot above each door so it will vary from vehicle to vehicle. If it could adjust the distance I would make them as far apart as I could for stability.
I think most rowing specific cartop carries come with them. If you're making your own I think you could find them at pretty much any hardware home improvement type store.
Thank you! Your video helped me so much!
I’m 120 lbs and my Mass Aero is about 41 lbs and I can lift it! Thanks so much for sharing!
Very helpful thanks
Thanks for the video! Refreshing my memory after not car-topping for a while and this has answered almost all my questions
