      They are, its up to us to encourage the new generation of Hitchens types of people to speak up. These voices are silenced today. Not directly, but media just wont talk or acknowledge it, it therefore seemingly is insignificant or non existent to the closed minded person.

      While, as a theist, Hitch and I disagreed on many things. Nevertheless he was without any doubt a legend and an amazing intellect. Sorry to admit many of his arguments against Christianity were true on the human side of it. I miss him.

    Thank you so much for this gem of a compilation. No one has ever come close to exposing and dissecting Clintonian ruthlessness/psychopathy/incompetence with anything approaching the eloquence, credibility and searing wit of Hitchens. His stance on the Iraq War deeply disappointed me, but in no way diminished the invaluable light he shone on this shameless pair - who probably partied till dawn when he died. Thank god we can still access his crucial voice via technology...I hope this goes viral.

    Alien American, thanks for posting this. I actually voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election and regretted the moment I cast my vote. I knew how awful she is and I suspect a lot of the people who voted for her knew too. It's so friggin' obvious.

    Thank you so much for finding this intellectual gem. Honesty, logic, brilliant historian, huge depth of understanding, scalpel like analysis of the truth and unbelievably beautiful prose. It is a feast for Hitch lovers and it's beautifully timed! He, as too few saw, had her number from day one. She's absolutely ruthless and has always put herself and her wants, money and power. It became her downfall. Boy, I miss this man.

    I adore Hitchens. I don't worship him or agree with everything he thought. I have a much higher opinion of Hillary than he did.
    However, had he lived to see the 2016 election season, I can't conceive of him EVER supporting Trump, given his disdain for hypocrisy, corruption, stupidity, nepotism, racism, Evangelical "values", pro-Israeli fanaticism, and irrational discourse. That's a very incomplete list.
    He *may* have advocated abstaining from voting, or a third party candidate. It's a shame we'll never know.

      He would've railed against Hillary in this last election. He would've supported Trump's hard stance against islamist extremism, one of the last big causes he was truly passionate about and warned us about. He may not have been Trump fan numero uno but you clearly haven't read his books or seen enough of his thoughts on the Clintons to make an asinine statement like that. Completely delusional.

    I especially love watching Hitchens' American TV experiences to try and time the moment the producers yell in the hosts ear to cut to commercial or change the subject every time Hitchens hits a nail squarely on its head.

    For the few people who don't know, and the even fewer who are interested to know, the gentleman on the right from 2:35 is Christophers brother Peter who is a journalist and author.

    I'm so sorry that Hitch is gone...virtually all of the guests on these programs inspire yawns. He brings an wit-filled luminescence to the screen and is a joy to listen to. Even when I don't agree with him I think he's marvelous (in this case, his commentary on HRC, I DO agree with him)

    Oddly enough, I became a believer in a "higher power" after I started following the works of "The Hitch" and his famous debates on spirituality. I can listen to him for hours on end. I don't always subscribe to his opinions, but I so enjoy his repartee. He possessed qualities I always exclusively assigned to Jefferson, a brilliant, inquisitive mind with the gift of being able, and above all else, articulate himself in such a way that one can only admire. We are all the poorer for his passing.

    Now I understand why people don't always agree with Hitch, I mean that he might not be completely right on a subject but he makes his opponent look like a idiot. So it might make people hate him for coming off so smug and seemingly correct on a topic that they hope he is wrong about.
    But only a fool would deny that he did not have something insightful and intelligent to bring to the topic.
    It's that very thing that is missed so much!!!!

      The funny thing i find about most people who criticize his alleged ostentatious style is not how he phrases things or goes after opponents, rather that they say people only find him insightful because of his accent, which is patently false (at least in my case) as i was first a fan of his writing rather than speaking. I would also add that i don't always agree with him, i'm not that sort of fan.

      That's partly why they buy an education, so they learn to speak with gravitas, perfect diction, confidence, with a cut glass accent... Check out his brother Peter Hitchins... He sounds marginally posher, because he never left the UK but they sound almost identical ...
      Genuinely how posh people speak.

    I’m so glad Hitch’s flirtation with 24 hour news networks was so brief. It was a terrible forum for him to operate in. He did so well in auditoriums with time to breathe and elaborate on his ideas.
