15 million people go through one of our health systems in a year? INCREDIBLE! And yet when Dr. Ben Carson, an SDA ran for political office so very few in this country had heard of Seventh-day Adventists! Why would this be the case? Is it suggestive of failure to live up to the trust God has given us in this regard? Instead of marveling at what is being done in this sick-care model of medicine, we should be talking about getting back to the blueprint. May the Lord help us!

"Our" health systems? Did " We" not have to divest ourselves "legally" from them to counter the abortions being carried out in them and change it to "Advent Health System"? It would be impossible to own such businesses without playing the games of the world. It will prove the same with school systems. When government monies play such a large part in the funds that are generated, they will teach what the government, not God, tells them to teach. Already happening. I think it was Paul who said, "Adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?" And, "You cannot serve two masters."?

I just wish they would quote the Bible instead of admiring their own thinking. Buddhism in enchanting speech.

My question is. How is it that we SDA are so unhealthy and we have so much health knowledge? Where is the disconnection?

Strange that Jesus was perfect, ate meat, and did not, EVER,, tell anyone not to eat meat. Nor did he start hospitals or schools. He was not a keeper of aquariums, but a fisher of Men.
"They" did not name the animals. It was given to Adam to name them, and he did so, on the sixth "day" BEFORE Eve was created.
It was GOD who told mankind to eat meat and only refund that command to the nation of Israel; not any other nations.
To teach such teachings is , scripturally, "teachings of demons". Sad and pathetic twisting of scriptures.
Jesus grew in winsom and in stature while eating meat.

Please provide Scriptural backing for each point brought forward. Thank you.

@@edithdotson7603 Which part? That jesus was perfect? That he ate meat? That he never stated to anyone not to eat meat? It is all there in the Bible and easy to understand if people aren't using their own "tradition" to make the word of God invalid as Jesus made clear to the religious teacher of his day. Not much has changed.....

@@edithdotson7603 Adam names the animals and then Eve created -Genesis 2:19-21
      Jesus was perfect - 1 Peter 2:22
As he was a Jew, he was bound by law to carry out the Law, which included partaking, at the least, of the Passover Lamb, a requirement for ALL of the Jew to be acceptable to God. (If Jews were not meat eaters, the Law in "clean and unclean would be superfluous (1 Tim 3:16,17)
Genesis 9:2-6: After the flood, mankind was told they could eat any of the animals for food, except for their blood in recognition of the life it represented, and the one who gave it. (Should be interesting to see who will pay for the lives of the aborted children done in hospitals claiming to represent him....)
Jesus, being the END of the "Law" would find it anti everything he attempted to accomplish for an organization claiming to represent him to be teaching Law. Probably why Paul calls such teaching "teachings of demons" (1 Tim 4:1-5; 2 Tim 4:1-4)
      Did I miss anything?
