Alot of these servers seem super modded, zero is amazing on all maps.. not sure why anyone would wanna play a pve or no kos server.. kind of takes away any looming danger and fear of death. Like, what exactly do you do on a pve server? Stack loads of loot? To each their own I suppose

NEO is also a great place to learn to drive a car because you type a chat command and a car spawns near you. Giving you a chance to learn I drive beforehand. Clearly that's a not vanilla but we do it so players don't have to download the mod directly themselves. We also have NEO Clockwork, that is still in beta but it's intended to become a stepping stone. You definitely need the fear of loss. Hey, do I approach this person or will I lose my gear... So I'm not disagreeing with you but people need a place to get the foundations down and that's what NEO does. Through not being killed constantly and by having experienced players who will take you hunting or teach you to fish or whatever you want to do...
After beginning to game on PC in the early 90s and building a few of my own systems in the late 90s, I FINALLY just got my first new gaming system since around 2003, and I am SO excited. I’ve loved your xbox DayZ server videos, and you were my first choice to seek out PC servers, and you didn’t disappoint. Thanks so much for the well-researched, reliable info!
Gotta say the ability to type /car gunter and have a fully built ready to drive gunter fall from the sky next to you is a selling point for many people. It's a great way to go check out things like castles and other points of interest. Plus a strong community that not only love the game but are willing to help people learn the game.
I just started playing Dayz and I happen to come across Neo sever. The BEST server I have been on. I have learned so much since playing on the server. People are so helpful. I even had my dad joined and he tells me all the time out of all the servers I have dragged him to that this is the best one!

When I started 2 weeks ago I played on official until I learned to survive. Wish I knew about comunity servers lol 😂 Now I avoid modded servers but I tried some with extra loot and it's fun. The community makes Dayz way better

I learned how to play DayZ on NEO Farmers back when it was a really small community! The admins are great and the community is top notch. You also can spawn a car after you join the discord and verify. One of my favorite servers that i keep going back to!

I have a server you may be interested in. It's a deer isle server that's vanilla with a few sprinkles. It has boats, bags, multi use scopes and AI but not your usual AI that just patrol. These don't patrol at all, they hunt you. Some you can recruit, some you can loot and some you can't. It is PVP but most people have been getting together to take on the AI as they are a bit of a pain (they spawn anywhere on the map). There are 5 different types also on there with varying degrees of difficulty. It's low pop, which is ideal for doing the quests. It's call Just another deerisle server. Give it a bash and see how you like it. Oh and the nights are vanilla dark and the AI have been eating carrots lol

I was looking for a good server to learn on and have fun looting and exploring without constantly worrying about being shot. I tried official and it was okay, but I found NEO Farmers a few weeks ago and I am really enjoying it. Everyone I've met has been friendly, and many offered help or advice, or even trades. The discord is full of nice people and helpful information. It's now my main server I play on. It even has a PvP area for those that enjoy it but don't want it all the time. Can't recommend it enough.

With the multitude of servers available, it can often be overwhelming to choose the right one. Therefore, I am extremely grateful for your guidance in this matter. I believe the reason why you are likely receiving a majority of the Neo Farmers server traffic is because of the enticing offer of a free shirt. Personally, I refrain from leaving forced comments when faced with bribery tactics. Hence, I will provide you with my honest opinion. The player community at Neo Farmers is exceptional and they greatly contribute to the server's success. However, there have been instances where the staff's behavior has been questionable and they haven't always been transparent with the truth. Despite this, it remains a good place to play when the servers are operational. Unfortunately, there have been frequent instances of server downtime lately, with a total of seven rollbacks occurring in the past three weeks.
Hey, can I recommend ZombieX? You mentioned a hardcore server in this video, if you like this type of setup, ZombieX would definitely be one for you. There are no QoL mods there, zombies are difficult and spawn all over the place, you can catch the zombie virus, cars are more realistic. The aim of ZombieX is to be as realistic as it can get. I would love to hear your opinion :)
NEO Farmers is seriously the BEST! My husband just happen to find this server and it has been such a great place to learn and the community is always so helpful. The admins respond to issues quickly which makes the server run smoothly. There’s the ability to spawn cars, see an in game map, and there are often events on the weekend that are created by members on the server such as a boxing event, a paintball event, a race, etc. These are so much fun! If you’re looking for a Vanilla server with friendly people and no KOS this is the right one. We have really enjoyed it!
Nice vid. To make it better you could put the server names in the description / pineed comment / break up the video with the bars and captions with each server name for quick reference. Most people (like myself) come across content for the info so if its not easily accessible we tend to not come back.
NEO Farmers It is the best server to learn the game to live beautiful moments and to play without the fear of getting killed.The admins team very active and very helpful also like almost all the players we have a very friendly relationship between us.
NEO is awesome. Gaming for 48 years and I probably have spent more time with this discord community than any other. People go out of their way to help you. The Admin/server owners are constantly around, helping out, putting up missions which spawn rare gear, handling bad actors very expeditiously. If you like Dayz exploring, gearing, base building, hunting, fishing, comradery without the constant sniper in a house waiting 12 hours IRL to headshot you and want to hang with some of the most down to earth people on the internet, look no further, come join us!
This is great to hear. I just started playing DayZ the other day and I've only been playing on official servers, but after reading your comment and watching the video I think Neo will be my first community server. As someone who considers themselves an older a gamer these days (30), its good knowing other mature people are on this server.

So I found one ran by a Mr. Bushwookie , the name is insane assylum on deer isle . I am commenting at the beginning of your video so you may have it on your list I donno. It’s been slow lately but I find it to be the server to be the best balance of things for a modded server . Server is based out of Seattle
Aftermath has BY FAR the best servers on DayZ. Very balanced modded servers. All servers today are just modded to the ground ruined by kids thinking running around with Nike track suits and 50 cals is DayZ.
Ironically, IMO aftermath is one of the worst servers. Corrupt admins, owners that listen to feedback like riot listens to theirs, and pvp experience that gets boring in less than second due to over half the server being seated in bushes and fearing fights all due to how fast ttk is and that its always run back from the coast and the only thing the owners fear more than raid defenders not getting effectively removed from the fight on single bullet and every fight basically ending in 2 shots is night time. Also nike track suit and 50cals are far more tolerable than bunch of rats sitting in bushes with ghillies and 50cals
If anyone is looking for a good PvP survival server look no further forsaken fields is a very good server on pc it’s brand new and the loot is awesome on it needs more people
I've played a ton of Dayz over the years but it wasn't until joining NEO Farmers that I really got to enjoy the wide range of experiences one can have in the game. Great community, active admins, and quality of life changes make this server stand above the rest as a great place to experience DayZ.
Saviors of vanilla is a fun one. Play on Chernarus map. Only complaint is a lot of players KOS. Even if they are full geared and you’re just in hunting clothes filling a water bottle. But from what I understand it’s a common thing to run into in DayZ.
If you like a Hardcore experience then you should definitely try out BELOW ZERO | HARDCORE++ That server is in a league of its own when it comes to pure survival. Great video also :)
I just started playing the survivalist servers. First time into modded dayz. Doesn’t seem the loot is boosted at all, do you know if it is? I looted 2 hospitals and a clinic and found a single morphine. The areas did not seem to show any player activity either.
Can you do a video on Cake Factory servers? They are newer and very up and coming. A LOT of custom content and a very hard working and caring staff. They have PVP and PVE servers including, Cherno, Livonia, Alteria and Deer Isle.
Xdc is a great sever to try and after 3 years might be coming to a end with the current pop - vanilla server with c4 code locks no map no group system no base building limits
Neo Farmers doesn't just have cars that are "easier to find". The server description, itself, says that is has "Self spawn cars". Does that mean what I think it does? That you can just spawn a car into the game on your own? If so that sounds way too easy. imo
You may want to try [EU] The Sanctuary PVE server, its an excellent server and been going a few years with good Admin, Good Community, and plenty to do (key coded Bunkers etc)
Kind of depends on what kind of adventure you want? When we started NEO (not saying its the server for you) we played on Farmers Association (partly where our name came from). It was incredible! Interaction before killing someone was encouraged so it made for some funny stories and adventures. But at the end of the day each person has different wants and finds enjoyment in different things. If you gave more details about what you enjoy or don't enjoy, people could better recommend a server to you.
I'm a beginner, I have about 45 hours in now, but interested in getting into PVE. What/which server would you/ anyone suggest for a beginner looking to get into more PVP. OR just jump into it? Just want those I play with know that xpecations should be low for a bit.
KarmaKrew is great when TopeRec or M1nd3r are not online. Because if you happen to kill either of them, the Admin is likely to kick you for "stream sniping" ! Also, both TopeRec and M1nd3r have admin powers (as they are co-owners) and have been alleged to use their powers to get easy kills for their videos.
I think that’s the problem with having admin powers and playing on your own server. Even if you do everything completely legit, people will always assume you cheated. Or at the very least suspect it’s a possibility. And nowadays so many admins do cheat, so people are right to be suspicious. It’s why I always recommend new server owners to ONLY use their admin account for admin business. Even if you don’t use admin powers when you play, not having admin powers at all stops anyone from accusing you of anything untoward when you’re on. I personally doubt they’ve fixed any kills with admin powers because I just don’t think it’s worth the blowback/risk for them.

I'm looking for a basic server. All i want is for the server to give me a map displaying my location and maybe to have a codelock mod. So far I haven't found a server like that. Any recommendations? The closest I got was Basically Vanilla
I've be THOROUGHLY enjoying KarmaKrew Namalsk. However, the ping on the DZA launcher says like 56 which is good. But I do get lag spikes and I saw that the servers are based out of Germany. Are there any good US based servers to play on?
Looking for a server with boosted loot and traders. Anything in mind. I’ve only played vanilla but would like a trader and more available loot. Not necessarily food loot. I like survival and needing to stop for a hunt or food break.
Testing a deer isle sever like this. Still change/fixing things. Highly moded so been making sure everything is correct. Anyway it's amazing so far hopefully we can open it soon.

If you click on community servers and search for NEO the NEO servers would come up. Similar results for other servers as well. I assume you already found the answers you are looking for but if not we'll try and help you. Regardless of which one you were looking for. Obviously I'm a little biased. 😊
DayZ was created as a SURVIVAL game. Wilderness, natures elements, animals, crafting... open world. People. All I see focused on here for the most part is pvp.
anyone suggest a server similar to rearmed except you can build in buildings? i like having traders but dont want everyone running around in high tier armor and surviving .308 shots constantly

Most of the servers I have been seeing lately have this travel between maps feature through travel stations. I saw comments about the dayzed mod and that they fake the number of players or something so they look full but aren't. Anyone else seeing these ? They all have exactly 17 mods and high player count. I want a real server with real people. . . Is this true?
Those are two different things. There is a mod called map link that allows a server owner to link their maps, so you can travel between maps and keep your character much like going from official Chernarus to official Livonia... You keep your black plater carrier and travel between maps. As to the spoofed player count, that is certainly a possibility, though the majority of the servers are not doing it. However if that is really a big concern of yours then LaunchZ accounts for this and gives accurate numbers. I am also told that the new official version will also accommodate for this we well. Meaning that it will give more details and prevent server owners from cheating at it.

I can across an admin who runs a DayZ server for PlayStation called Livonia Nation's He has clearly put in a ton of work to make a thriving community.. their discord seems nice, got some nice graphics and advertisements. I probably chatted with the owner for 3 hours a few nights ago just about marketing and such. I was impressed enough that I gave him a token donation, to help keep the servers running. Anybody who put that much work into a server clearly carea about DayZ. As I've never played console other than Xbox I can't say first hand but he was super friendly and helpful. Which to me goes a long way to the success of any server. There were role play and non-role play options. Worth checking out to learn more.

Don't even need to do that anymore, as long as you have your name set, you can spawn a car as needed and start adventuring instantly!

NEO is awesome. Gaming for 48 years and I probably have spent more time with this discord community than any other. People go out of their way to help you. The Admin/server owners are constantly around, helping out, putting up missions which spawn rare gear, handling bad actors very expeditiously. If you like Dayz exploring, gearing, base building, hunting, fishing, comradery without the constant sniper in a house waiting 12 hours IRL to headshot you and want to hang with some of the most down to earth people on the internet, look no further, come join us!
This is great to hear. I just started playing DayZ the other day and I've only been playing on official servers, but after reading your comment and watching the video I think Neo will be my first community server. As someone who considers themselves an older a gamer these days (30), its good knowing other mature people are on this server.

So I found one ran by a Mr. Bushwookie , the name is insane assylum on deer isle . I am commenting at the beginning of your video so you may have it on your list I donno. It’s been slow lately but I find it to be the server to be the best balance of things for a modded server . Server is based out of Seattle
Aftermath has BY FAR the best servers on DayZ. Very balanced modded servers. All servers today are just modded to the ground ruined by kids thinking running around with Nike track suits and 50 cals is DayZ.

Ironically, IMO aftermath is one of the worst servers. Corrupt admins, owners that listen to feedback like riot listens to theirs, and pvp experience that gets boring in less than second due to over half the server being seated in bushes and fearing fights all due to how fast ttk is and that its always run back from the coast and the only thing the owners fear more than raid defenders not getting effectively removed from the fight on single bullet and every fight basically ending in 2 shots is night time. Also nike track suit and 50cals are far more tolerable than bunch of rats sitting in bushes with ghillies and 50cals

If anyone is looking for a good PvP survival server look no further forsaken fields is a very good server on pc it’s brand new and the loot is awesome on it needs more people
I've played a ton of Dayz over the years but it wasn't until joining NEO Farmers that I really got to enjoy the wide range of experiences one can have in the game. Great community, active admins, and quality of life changes make this server stand above the rest as a great place to experience DayZ.
Saviors of vanilla is a fun one. Play on Chernarus map.
Only complaint is a lot of players KOS.
Even if they are full geared and you’re just in hunting clothes filling a water bottle.
But from what I understand it’s a common thing to run into in DayZ.

If you like a Hardcore experience then you should definitely try out BELOW ZERO | HARDCORE++ That server is in a league of its own when it comes to pure survival. Great video also :)

The Survivalists server is a pretty good vanilla+ server, with balance between pvp and player interaction. It's a new server yet grew pretty fast too.
I just started playing the survivalist servers. First time into modded dayz. Doesn’t seem the loot is boosted at all, do you know if it is? I looted 2 hospitals and a clinic and found a single morphine. The areas did not seem to show any player activity either.
Can you do a video on Cake Factory servers? They are newer and very up and coming. A LOT of custom content and a very hard working and caring staff. They have PVP and PVE servers including, Cherno, Livonia, Alteria and Deer Isle.

Xdc is a great sever to try and after 3 years might be coming to a end with the current pop - vanilla server with c4 code locks no map no group system no base building limits

Neo Farmers doesn't just have cars that are "easier to find". The server description, itself, says that is has "Self spawn cars". Does that mean what I think it does? That you can just spawn a car into the game on your own? If so that sounds way too easy. imo
The horror at namalsk hardcore but forgiving once you get the hang of it. Good community as well
You may want to try [EU] The Sanctuary PVE server, its an excellent server and been going a few years with good Admin, Good Community, and plenty to do (key coded Bunkers etc)
Groveland is a great new PC server! Really fun mods, plenty to do, active community and admin team!

Kind of depends on what kind of adventure you want? When we started NEO (not saying its the server for you) we played on Farmers Association (partly where our name came from). It was incredible! Interaction before killing someone was encouraged so it made for some funny stories and adventures. But at the end of the day each person has different wants and finds enjoyment in different things.
If you gave more details about what you enjoy or don't enjoy, people could better recommend a server to you.
I'm a beginner, I have about 45 hours in now, but interested in getting into PVE. What/which server would you/ anyone suggest for a beginner looking to get into more PVP. OR just jump into it? Just want those I play with know that xpecations should be low for a bit.

KarmaKrew is great when TopeRec or M1nd3r are not online. Because if you happen to kill either of them, the Admin is likely to kick you for "stream sniping" !
Also, both TopeRec and M1nd3r have admin powers (as they are co-owners) and have been alleged to use their powers to get easy kills for their videos.
I think that’s the problem with having admin powers and playing on your own server. Even if you do everything completely legit, people will always assume you cheated. Or at the very least suspect it’s a possibility. And nowadays so many admins do cheat, so people are right to be suspicious.
It’s why I always recommend new server owners to ONLY use their admin account for admin business. Even if you don’t use admin powers when you play, not having admin powers at all stops anyone from accusing you of anything untoward when you’re on. I personally doubt they’ve fixed any kills with admin powers because I just don’t think it’s worth the blowback/risk for them.
I killed a admin on my main server then had weird things happen lol so I wouldn’t rule it out.
To learn base building without fear of getting deaded .......it's ace!!!!

In my experiences 150 is ok. Just stay under 200. I find that I prefer to stay under 180 or 170 if possible.
I'm looking for a basic server. All i want is for the server to give me a map displaying my location and maybe to have a codelock mod. So far I haven't found a server like that. Any recommendations? The closest I got was Basically Vanilla
I've be THOROUGHLY enjoying KarmaKrew Namalsk. However, the ping on the DZA launcher says like 56 which is good. But I do get lag spikes and I saw that the servers are based out of Germany. Are there any good US based servers to play on?

Looking for a server with boosted loot and traders. Anything in mind. I’ve only played vanilla but would like a trader and more available loot. Not necessarily food loot. I like survival and needing to stop for a hunt or food break.

I like PVE servers with human AI that shoot back, flank, and use grenades and fight smart.

Testing a deer isle sever like this. Still change/fixing things. Highly moded so been making sure everything is correct. Anyway it's amazing so far hopefully we can open it soon.

If you click on community servers and search for NEO the NEO servers would come up.
Similar results for other servers as well.

DayZ was created as a SURVIVAL game. Wilderness, natures elements, animals, crafting... open world. People. All I see focused on here for the most part is pvp.

hi dude. by any chance do you know how to build PC's in dayz? i play a server where you can build a security system and mine bitcoin on a PC & i have the parts like the fan bar, ssd, psu (power supply unit), gpu etc.. but i don't know how to put it all together. is this something you could help advise me on?

Most of the servers I have been seeing lately have this travel between maps feature through travel stations.
I saw comments about the dayzed mod and that they fake the number of players or something so they look full but aren't.
Anyone else seeing these ? They all have exactly 17 mods and high player count.
I want a real server with real people. . . Is this true?
Those are two different things. There is a mod called map link that allows a server owner to link their maps, so you can travel between maps and keep your character much like going from official Chernarus to official Livonia... You keep your black plater carrier and travel between maps.
As to the spoofed player count, that is certainly a possibility, though the majority of the servers are not doing it. However if that is really a big concern of yours then LaunchZ accounts for this and gives accurate numbers.
I am also told that the new official version will also accommodate for this we well. Meaning that it will give more details and prevent server owners from cheating at it.

I can across an admin who runs a DayZ server for PlayStation called Livonia Nation's
He has clearly put in a ton of work to make a thriving community.. their discord seems nice, got some nice graphics and advertisements.
I probably chatted with the owner for 3 hours a few nights ago just about marketing and such. I was impressed enough that I gave him a token donation, to help keep the servers running.
Anybody who put that much work into a server clearly carea about DayZ.
As I've never played console other than Xbox I can't say first hand but he was super friendly and helpful. Which to me goes a long way to the success of any server.
