Honestly it was his choice to trust me. I don’t force my animals to do something they’re not comfortable with. I let him learn that I’m a safe space and I’m not going to hurt him. He seemed to figure it out pretty quickly and now comes to me when I open his enclosure. It’s just a matter of time, patience and understanding their perspective. :)
I name my pets with Swedish old persons names. 😁 Intresting video, I think this is quite common with "beginners pets". I went and bought a gecko including a terrarium and all accesoaries for around $100, it used to belong to a girl who grew up to be a teenager and got tired of it so they bascicley gave it away.
Update: Dave is doing amazing and currently in a 32 gallon set up and will be moving into a 90 gallon
