🔹Materiales:
• Video
Plaster compound. Drywall compound. (You can find it on Home Depot, Rona...)
🔹Tools: Sculpting tools. (You can find it on Amazon, Wish, Michaels, art shops...)
I suggest you to make it out of clay first and make a mold out of it with silicone. Than put gypsum and remove the silicone. It might seem as a lot of work. But that way you can definitely achieve the form you want. Because the clay is really soft and you can mold it as you want. Add and remove. Way easier then scraping the gypsum that might break while scraping it. Overall looks nice.
Do you know how expensive silicone is?
@@Swan-rb4yg I don't know the prices in your area but certainly the money would be worth it. With Silicone you can keep your mold for years.
@@kalinajordanova7631 I know that. It's $200 per gallon. If she wanted to make lots of copies and sell them and factor the price of the mold into it, then it would work, but it seems like she only does one-offs.
But if you need to make huge basrelief on the wall? Your method is good for just not big projects like this one. Here you are right.

How might you ensure this wouldn't come off (or peel off) a surface? Canvas/gesso might be safe, but if you do this on a hard surface like DIBOND (aluminum composite) or wood, it might need something else?

Gypaum powder hardens very quickly. Did u mix anything apart from water? Glue may be?

The gypsum powder I have is a 2:1 ratio and is kind of soupy but gets hard in an hour. If i do a 1:1 ratio with water so that I might be able to sculpt with it... would it harden in maybe 30 minutes instead? I think I am going to have to test this out. :)
How to make a Bas Releif was the title of your Video. You didn't tell us anything about how to make nothing. You chose to keep your mouth close and not tell us anything about what you were doing. Just mix it with 30% Gesso thats all.

Beautiful!👌👌Will this remain stuck to the canvas if we want to make a relief on the canvas itself? Also how did you remove it from the canvas? And how did you fill in the cracks while joining the pieces? Which type of glue should be used?
These are the same questions in my mind.
You can use plastic canvas, it wont stick after it's dry out .
