I still have the first two albums on CD. I haven't listened much to their newer stuff and I'd say that even the first two albums didn't quite work for me. I think I like the idea of what they are doing a bit more than what they are actually doing. All the tracks just sort of blend in together. Having just given the new one a bit of a listen, the symphonic elements of the first two appear to be toned down or removed. The second album is almost a spacier black metal versiom of the Summoning. Anyway, I like the format of going through song by song and actually giving your thoughts rather than the usual reaction videos that review the same songs as everyone else and think everything is amazing.
This is not the old iteration of Limbonic Art, this is solo project now from the founding member Dameon. Morfeus was the other member of the band until around 07 (I believe) and he was the guy behind the electronics, I.e., drum programming and the keyboard composition, also guitar, and without him this band is bland and lacks depth and dimension. This is coming from a huge fan of this band also. Check out ‘Moon in the Scorpio’ and ‘In Abhorrence Dementia’ albums and see what you think. Cheers! 🍻
... Hello, old french here again (so bad english and blablabla ^^). I Knew the name but never heard it ... What a good surprise, it's really my taste (one of my many tastes lol) ... I really enjoyed the Extreme genre of the music, fast (often), a lot of layers, one majestic flow as I love ... I have to check it asap ... It's very melodic but not "symphonic" IMO ... Symphonic is (for me hein) when you have some real classic music in the mix, a real orchestra (and I hate it really, "Cradle of Filth" for ex, poor Dany Filth, but there are other well known bands in BM who commited this "crime", I hate them all lol)).! If you love Limbonic Art, you really should listen to "AKHLYS", also a "one man band", a "god" for many producers (if you dont know them, US band from NewYork if I remember well), also a lot of layers but really more scary (violent ? I am not sure), very high shieks, very fast tremolo picking and very fast blast beats, it's not a machine it's a real human drummer, I saw them live ... If you will listen to AKHLYS, dont choose the last LP wich just came out, it's the most difficult to get into, "one big multi layer with one very high piched shriek" from the beginning to the end, and there are different long songs (6 if I remember well) ... I love it so much !!! So Thank you for this very good "find" (for me ^^) Au Revoir
