I kinda liked the blue logo at 15:21 better, it made the band logo pop and was discernible, playing into the colour scheme of the piece as it started to blend into the purples of the art at the bottom. the purple logo blended in a bit too much, was a bit daunting to try and read or look at and make out. still a great piece at the end of it.
I like the gradient one too! The band asked for chrome so that's what we went for. You can see in the final version we went more for a steel effect that pops out nicely ⚔️

It includes everything from your attitude which acts as a directional guide for the feel of the design- to how you think through your methodology pushing the design more and more to the extreme with each step 🤘 next time could you include the track list as well and how you work the typography? Bro do you have advice on how to get work like this ? I currently work for a vape company but I wanna do something more of my style ( merch for hip hop / metal )
I started out just getting super involved in my local music scene and then touring around Europe playing hardcore and met loadsa sick people along the way and started doing merch, artwork and logos for my mates bands and continued on from there! That sounds like a sweet gig with the vape co, but i feel you, definitely always an urge as a creative person to pursue the art style you love most. I would recommend getting involved in your local hip hop and metal scenes and offer artworking services to bands and artists you dig!
This is ridiculously cool, i've searched for the content like that with trashy metal designs. Author makes it look easy but i'm a noob and looks like this is a bit too complicated to me, when i warp and stretch parts it looks silly. Anyone can give me some advise/stuff i should look for to get myself on this level? TY for content!
Cheers legend I really appreciate that! Yes, sadly this type of tutorial is fairly advanced and fast (as it's about 6-7 hours of screen footage sped up into 20 mins or so) but keep working at it and you'll be flying in no time! I highly recommend Charley Pangus's channel - he does super informative and indepth tutorials for merch design and goes deeper into some of the processes I've used here in a very clear and easily understandable manner. Hope that helps and best of luck with your design work! ⚔️
