- This the part 2 of 2 for a series demonstrating the removal and reinstall of the front and rear seatbelts for a BMW 335i F30. The process would be the same for all F30s sedans and similar for coupes.
The reason for this removal was simply the replacement of the black webbing with red webbing to match the red accents of the sport line. For this I sent my existing seat belt mechanisms to Safety Restore (information below) to remove the black webbing and replace with red.

My video covers the removal and replacement of belts. You may want to look in your area if anyone has the colored belts or can replace the webbing.

I changed my seat belts but the “driver restraint system” error code appeared, I can’t seem to figure out why, would you happen to know anything?
I would make sure all of your airbags are still plugged in. If they are, reset the code to see if it comes back.

The car came from the factory with the black leather seats with red stitching and piping.

@@MessyGarageBMW I only ask because I’m switching out my b pillar along with this to black. I didn’t know if it would set off the airbag by removing the seatbelt.

When you buy one, does it come with four of them for the front and back seats or do you have to buy all four so you can get it for all the seats?
You can buy just the front or the fronts and back. You have to remove your seatbelts and send them in. They will replace the webbing with whatever you want and send them back.
why 2 watch why ?
Not sure I understand your question. If you are asking why 2 videos it is because it is a long process to do this. One video shows taking the old ones out the other shows putting the new ones back in.
