I just noticed she's wearing a cheerleader outfit!!! I love how feathery her voice sounds if that makes sense? It's like she's floating but her acting is JUST like how when your friend is telling you about a crush they're in denial about lol
This is probably the best version I've heard of this song! She literally did so well. The facials and the acting were so good.
Fr, I am so used to the recording, but seeing this live version I really liked the acting and interpretaion
WAIT OMG THATS ELLA😭 I LOVE HERR
I LOVE how the meaning of ‘straight hair’ changes when the main character (who was adopted) is black. It’s another part of her identity that she’s ‘straightening out’ to make assimilate and succeed in a (presumably white upper middle class) community.
Then you'll love what's next
she ate that up ABSOLUTELY. DEVOURED
She's so FREAKING AWESOME!
I can’t express how much I love this song. The melody, the dynamics, the lyrics, each performer’s unique take on the character. Truly a masterpiece
okay but that expectation that she sings about being little miss perfect is so much different sung by a black girl!! There's an added level of nunce with all the lines of her striving to be perfect because for girls who grew up in marginalised communities or even indigenous communities (like me lol) the level feels so much higher than anyone else's and that push to be perfect for your community and for your family while also grappling with your sexuality is so tragic-- this was perfect!!!
I loved the acting/facial expressions that went along with the singing here! This was amazing!
MORGAN I LOVE YOU EVEN MORE NOW OMGGG
FRRR
Love to see her get into the role during the song!

amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing ♥
ICONIC
❤
This was amazing!!!
her voice is so good (THE RIFFS) but mind blank all i can think about is the fact that ‘straight girl’ kept doing fruity wrist bend at “i make a point to be on time”😭 like honey nobody’s gonna buy that you’re straight💀
I can't wait
This is so good
Yay for 54 below videos!
Brb omw to pull an Ursala and steal your voice...
Is it her own reflection she sees in the window?
Ooh, that's a good question and one I hadn't pondered but it really makes sense.
WHEW
Straight hair, straight A's, straight forward
Straight path, I don't cut corners
I make a point to be on time
Head out the student council
I don't black out at parties
I jam to Paul McCartney
If you ask me how I'm doing, I'll say
Well, hmm
I was adopted when I was two
My parents spoiled me rotten
Often I ask myself, what did I do
To get as far as I've gotten?
A pretty girl walks by my locker
My heart gives a flutter, but I don't dare utter a word
'Cause that would be absurd behavior for Little Miss Perfect
Na-na-na-na-na-na-na, no
I can't risk falling off my throne
La-la-la-la-la-la-la, love
Is something I don't even know
Straight hair, straight A's
Straight forward, straight girl
Little Miss Perfect, that's me
One night, my friend stayed over
We laughed, and drink and ordered
Something about her drew me in
What? It's totally platonic
That night was so exciting
Her smirks were so enticing
Hours speed by like seconds
Then, what happens is iconic
She takes a sip, I bite my lip
She tells a joke, I nearly choke
She braids my hair, I sit there
Blacking out for the first time
Next thing I know, I lose control
I finally kiss her, but, oh, no
I see a face in my window
Then my brain starts to go
Na-na-na-na-na-na-na, no
You can't risk falling off your throne
La-la-la-la-la-la-la, love
Is something I don't even know
Na-na-na-na-na-na-na
You can't risk falling off your throne
La-la-la-la-la-la-la, love
You don't even know
Rewind, induce amnesia
Deny the truth, that's easier
You're just confused, believe her
When she says there's nothing there
It's never worth it
When you're Little Miss Perfect
