I actually think the bad ending is the best ending. Scrooge, unlike stereotypically wealthy characters, shows he cares about his family. He's saying that, even if he doesn't have a cent in the moneybin, as long as he has his nephews, he's the richest duck in the world. That's a quality you don't see in rich characters. Kind of nice that they broke the stereotype with this character. Also... "Huey and the two Louies" Uh, one of them is named Dewey, unless you said that as a joke since two of them have the same colored clothing.
Maybe scrooge says he's really the richest duck in the world in the bad ending, because he still has the boys, and he really cares about the three. Perhaps maybe he still had money.
The thing is this Ending wasn't intended to be found in the final release, because the Producer wasn't fond of the idea seeing Scrooge losing his fortune after all the effort player puts to beat the game. The healing ability was most likely a feature, which Capcom forgot to remove (It doesn't have clear indication, any distinguished Sound Effect while using it nor is mentioned anywhere even in the manual). Given the bizarre way to obtain the Bad Ending, Nintendo Power still mentions there are 3 possible endings in this game, meaning that disabling this ending was a late decision and the Healing Ability was overlooked.
In the remastered version you have to do a parkour course while racing goldblum to the treasure, get to the treasure in time but it's still not over,you have to do another parkour course, this time with rising lava that kills you instantly.The bosses also has new attack moves. and people are complaning us kids get it too easy nowadays

Bubble bobble has a creepy bad ending with 1 player, and the good end is 2 players. The 1 player ending IS creepy, along with bubble bobble plus' arrange mode ending with 1 player. Super durunk? You have forgoten a secret git, If you have 70.000 $ I think (not sure) and you you talk to the pilot for a ride you'll get a mini game, and if you have made it twice and have obtained the best ending the ending will be a bit different, but I'am not 100% sure.
I'm talking 'overall'. Sure Dead Rising had bad ending, but you actually only get few characters killed, no matter if they were main characters + his companies. But for example in Fallout 3 you can make nice town go BOOM for reward... or just for fun? You can also be puppet of sinister computer-president which ends up you infecting the drinking water and killing all life of Wasteland. I'm tempted to suggest plucking a few endings out of FF13-2. OK, yes, somewhat immature, and basically adult(?) Kingdom Hearts without the coherence, but some of those endings are BLEAK. Even the 'real' ending is a bummer! If you don't care to spend money on the game, there are probably tons of endings uploaded here that you could link to. Also, the endings for the first and second parts of Shining Force 3 for Saturn might be of interest.
