i love how this accurately describes what anxiety feels like. it starts with something heaving in your chest ("the heaviness that i hold in my heart's been crushing me"), and eventually falling to your knees because of it ("falling backwards"), and the fear of going through it all over again, plus the fear of not being good enough ("a model citizen of doubt"). it's like holding back worry to the point of letting go and let the heaviness crush the space between your armor and your skin, making you forget who you are, and eventually the gravity will take hold of your heaviness, making you break pattern, waking up more awake than before after a second of self reflection, and you finally find peace, like it was a final puzzle piece. and then you're okay until the worry accumulates like before and you go through the process all over again, like a rebirth. you become wiser afterwards, even if the price to pay is a heavy heart, and this song shows how chaotic it is, i can't even use words to explain how many times it helped me when i go through a crisis, thank you so much for this.
